    Where are the other universes?

This poll was inspired by michellemfry and is a companion poll to the How many universes poll.

Assuming there is more than our universe, where are the others and can you base this on anything. Please include links to supporting material where possible.

Again I had the same problem a in the how many universes poll: not aloud to choose several.

My theory is that there are two parallel universes wth opposite matter-antimatter proportions, contraction at inverse speed of expansion of this one, negative entropy... But eahc of the universes has a new universe for each action that occurs, and how many different possibilities there are. The two universes exist in different places, joint up by blackholes and whiteholes. But the many many many universes that each has exist within, like curled up, they exist where this one, but with 1 difference for an event compared to this one.

    Hi Robert .
I really became glad when seeing these new polls you'd put on the web.
I deeply thank you for these polls. These are showing some things which tell us how deep or complex our idea and personal opinions are about the TOE.

    Best Regards.

Our universe contains in itself infinite number of any different possibilities.

Time keeps all things from happening at once, and that includes other universes.

    One or many is moot...

I just reread my TOE: Part IV. It is seriously lacking in clarity.

I guess my explanation of the Universal creation front occuring as a wave was a mite superficial. Sometimes I forget that I am writing for those who haven't developed the idea and therefore don't have a clear picture of it, and I make assumptions about their understanding of what I am trying to say.

Think of a sine wave and its graphic representation of amplitude versus time, which variables a and T are signified by a crucifix lying on its side: amplitude is + and -, up and down, around the zero reference line with time progressing forward, as we read to the right.

A single cycle of a sine wave describes a concentric semicircle beginning at the zero reference line increasing in amplitude and then decreasing in amplitude, crosses the zero reference line again and continues its descent until it turns back up toward the zero reference line. That describes 360º of arc, a single cycle. Think of a mirrored S lying on its side and wrapping around that crucifix. The time it takes to describe that S is called the frequency, measured in cycles per second. It isn't hard to imagine a second sine wave overiding the first but exactly 180º out of phase with it, like two S's overlapping but where one S begins its cycle of increasing amplitude at the zero reference line just as the other S is halfway through its cycle and crossing the reference line in the other direction. It is not hard to see that the two waves would mathematically cancel each other out, and that is what happens in electronic audio noise cancellation circuits where only the noise is cancelled out because band-pass filters allow the stuff we want to hear get through, but not the noise, which are unwanted frequencies.

Now you know what a wave is. Quantum reality is full of them. Nature expresses itself in similar patterns throughout, from the atomic through the macro and to the colossal. Max Planck described the pulses of energy emitting from a black body as quanta of energy. Today black bodies are used to generate very precise frequencies for low tolerance applications. They are called cavity resonators, a very precisely engineered hollow sphere with a pin hole. Its radiating frequency is determined by the diameter of the sphere, measured internally.

In describing the creation wavefront as the leading edge of a cyclic event I am interpreting the manifestation of that wave in our reality as it leaves behind the residual effect of that staggeringly awesome event, ie. creation, which it drags behind it because of the effect of persistence provided by the phenomenon of hysteresis, also a quantifiable electromagnetic effect.

Keeping in mind the perspective from which our place in it forces us to appreciate it, what with Heisenberg and Einstein looking over our shoulders, we are now ready to re-examine the idea...

So one can say that there are more than one Universes if one wishes, but as far as I am concerned it is created by the same wave that created all of them and each represents a single cycle of that wave.

So, notwithstanding that the word Universe is defined as that which encompasses all in any event, I maintain that there is one and only one Universe.

Alternate universes, other dimensions, bubble universes, white holes - all are theoretical sidebars to reality, this here thing.

    time as ringmaster

    Michelle,
I don't believe time is linear (or sequential) and if that is the case, I don't think that time would keep other universes from happening at once. I don't think that time is the controller here.

    harmonygirl,

Your concerns are valid. I have been thinking and rethinking alot of fundamentals. For example, the concept of a parallel anything. How can two things go on forever and never meet? Everything is subject to bending, isn't it.
There are other things on my mind as well. This one universe is plenty in my eyes, but I know all too well that things come into being in pairs. So I wonder about this thing we call one and only.

    pairs?

    Michelle,
I know that my thinking is evolving as well. I think that the universes are infinite. I don't know why it would be restricted to pairs (but maybe i'm missing something?) I also think parallel is a matter of perspective. for my purpose, whether things eventually bend is not as relevant as working from how they appear to trying to determine what they do, and then on to consideration of how they may evolve. (but my thinking on this matter is fairly recently gestated)

    Universe(s)

I'd like to mention two reasons for this thought:

First, is that when Christ was born, a host of angelic beings came to announce it. They were already existent in a world to themselves, but came to announce the birth of Christ. There is another universe within the one we live in at present that we have no abitlity to "touch" of sense.

Secondly, The nature of mass, itself, is such that it has an existence of a complete electron wave and that is all. Were the total mass of the universe to be reduced to its lowest form of matter, it would be electromagnetic energy. Thus the entire universe would become one dimensional - which is what it really is at present. This is seen in the value of "present" time being examined apart form the past or future. Do this yourself. Seek to determine how long you exist in the present apart from the past or future. It'll be a revelation.

All it would take for one universe to fit in the same "space" as another, or others, would be for the value of "c" to be different by a fraction.

How long is eternity? How many are the universes? It's all a guess that will have no meaning other than to ourselves - a.k.a. daydream.
