Hello Graham ...Love and Hate are both one and the same, both and neither.
''You'' are the awareness in which love & hate arises.
Hate is just the chaos 'we' don't like, but it is only love in disguise.

"Once you remember who you are,
a Divine Being of the Universal Light of Grace,
then you can no longer see others the same,
for they too are a Divine piece of the same source."

Quote:
Do you then preach we should all ignore what we do not like? Stand in the face of death and say I love you? ... go ahead an kill me?
Graham, surely if there is something we do not like, then we can change it to something we do like.
It will take a long time for people to realize their divinity, but surely one by one they will, and until they do, they will follow their own will, and not natures will.
Natures will is in natural harmony with itself.
Man is in the fortunate position now where he has the capacity to realize his origin/source.
But sadly S/he chooses to be separate from the whole.Did the human brain get too big?
We can't stop the world, as it is, IT is as it should be because we like it that way, otherwise we would change it.
The world ''out there'' is a reflection of what is '' in here'' [OUR THOUGHTS]
The world is a reflection of our collective thoughts.
If we imagine we are separate then we will fight for what we think is ours alone.
And yet nothing is our property. We are born with nothing and we die with nothing. We come from nothing and return to nothing.
All the stuff in between, IS really nothing ''appearing'' as something.
It is only man who makes up the conceptual universe, makes up religions and forming hierarchies.
Apparently religion is the biggest divisive factor encouraging division of the peoples and main contributer to all wars.
And yet sometimes even the noblest kings must go to war.
It is part and parcel of our reality.
The real route to peace is in tolerance and intellectual honesty.
We don't all have to like each other as long as we accept the fundamental right of everyone to believe in what we perceive to be ridiculous ideas.
We also have to agree to not promote our belief based ideas as fact,
we have to doubt ourselves, and that goes for the empirical science gurus too.

"Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend"

Quote:
As long as there realists Mel you are in a world of your own denial choosing to turn a blind eye upon the need of change
and the better way to do it and add to carnage and body bags that come home.
"When the power of love
overcomes the love of power,
the world will know peace

"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional Love,
will have the final word in reality"

"Love is a gift of one's inner most soul to another, so both can be wholer"

Sorry about all the quotes Graham, but i find them very soothing and they can remind us of who we REAL_ly are amid our ''apparent'' troubled world.

Namaste

no offence .... cool bananas ... greg
Which is more real for you greg, the material or the immaterial, the seen or the unseen?

The context in which the argument is embedded is not an intellectual exercise, it is an exalted state of prayer or contemplation, a plea by Adams sons, condemned to a life of wrechedness and misery, to be allowed to approach the world of the divine. Anselm was a man of deep faith; he had no doubts about the existence of God, his certainty was unshakeable. But his faith was - in accordance with the orignal title of the treatise in which the Ontilogical Argument appears - a 'Faith in Search of Understanding'. For although reason does not produce faith, although faith preceeds reason, reason is essential in order to illuminate the the content of faith one has already accepted: To bring it to its fullness and thus open the way to "God".

Re: What happens after you die?

Faith.
Faith is a state of openness or trust.
To have faith is to trust yourself to the water.
When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown.
Instead you relax, and float.
And the attitude of faith is the very opposite of clinging to belief, of holding on.
In other words, a person who is fanatic in matters of religion,
and clings to certain ideas about the nature of God and the universe, becomes a person who has no faith at all.
Instead they are holding tight.
But the attitude of faith is to let go, and become open to truth, whatever it might turn out to be.

Water U talkin bout ??

Mother Earth 95% water .....after all SHE'S a big girl.
Mother breaks water .. gives birth to creation.
You are that.....

SHE is Love .....Welcome to heaven..... where our waters meet .....where U turn.....To SEE ...after mem_brain breaks.

Our own human mother ..we put our trust in. She raised you good.
Now we must trust in our original mother.
SHE loves us.......Look ...how are we treating her??

The glass will always be half-empty or half-full. The only difference is 'your' perspective of it. Change your mind, change your world. It's the only choice 'you have',and it is 'yours' alone.

The Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

The Ego and The True Self, intimate friends and inseperable,
The Former partakes of the sweet and the bitter fruits of Tree of Life
