In truth and expressed within phenomenal reality,we all have to die of self, before we can truly live?

You can know your wife's inclinations and personality as best you can since she's real, but religion requires a completely blind trust in the unseeable. Might as well believe in the Easter Bunny—at least it provides some evidence.

To become an adult,a man,you have to die as a child, all of life is about letting go of dead worn out, threadbare ideas,(most have not "even" lived, let alone die!)That is the question
that to needs answering.

Thanks for the answer Austintorn.

But can we prove scientifically that there is no God?

I appreciate your perspective, but does it prove that the perspective of a belief system is wrong just because the perspective of 'seeing is believing' conflicts with it?

Can we prove that only what we see or perceive is the only truth?

Excellent question Dave,we can actually prove very little, who was it that said it was actually impossible to prove you are even here in the first place?

Re: What happens after you die?

Which is easier to believe. Two parallel universes ( God only knows where they came from ) colliding together to form our universe or God creating our universe? I think both true science and true religion are seeking the Truth. Whatever the answer.

Faith in whatever, has power and value. This is true even if its faith in Santa, the Easter Bunny, God or dollars. If people ever lose faith in our global monetary system, its all over. And the only value all those dollars and euros have is the faith that people can spend them tomorrow. No gold no silver. So the prophets of doom can say rightfully that nothing is backing the market except our faith. Amen.

And if we ever have Michaels faith, that we are all part of the One, who knows what could be accomplished.

Best to all ( and keep the faith )

Pat

There is much more out there than we presently know, but there's no real benefit to making things up. So far, the world appears to work on its own.
