Individual Soul's have evolved from the basic life forms. Our souls have taken a long road to get to possessing a human. An understanding of this evolving nature of soul, can be seen in the teachings of ancient tribal shamans. Once we have elevated to the human experience, things then got complicated. This complication comes from the soul interacting with the human mind. I see this complication arising, because of the 'persona' that is created from the interaction of the experienced soul and the instinctual nature of the human animal. There is a constant war going on between the soul, and human instincts, through persona, every moment. This complication can best be understood by studying Buddha's teachings. The soul is an evolving entity that can take many paths. It can take the path of regression, which is allowing the instincts of the animal it exists in, to rule its life and future lives. Or, it can take the higher evolved path, which is a path of wisdom. The path of wisdom evolves the soul to the point where it no longer grasps, at the wants of the material world, thus giving it the ability to exist in a higher plane of existence. This higher plane of existence is what we could call, the 'after life'. One can only stay in this after life when one is void of grasping at needs, and instead only emanates outward to touch its surroundings. An understanding of the "Emanating soul", can be best seen in the teachings of Jesus. Those soul's who grasp at the material world, come back from the 'after life', to the human experience, to hopefully seek and not grasp. Those soul's that have become corrupted because of grasping, fall in to a purgatory of regret. This regret is horrifyingly painful to the soul, when it is left with only its experiences, and no persona to hide in. This is why they have a hard time escaping from this purgatory, because of there desire to hide from their regret. Those soul's that have been totally corrupted from grasping and are left with no emanating nature what so ever, fall into a hell that feeds this grasping, for ever. You see this corruption everyday in the news, of those who grasp to the extreme, and the horror they inflect on their victims. An understanding of this aspect of the 'after life', can best be seen in the Tibetan book of the dead. The 'after life' is an evolving domain just as earth is. It is a domain that has evolved from the interactions with evolving soul's sense life began. It is a domain that follows all the laws of our existence here on earth, plus those that we can only know of, in the 'after life'. So, live life to the fullest, without hurting others, and work on becoming an "Emanating soul".

The interesting repeated thought is that with all the TWO coming together over millennium existences that formed you, the persona, the individual the one that represents all those that came before you did .... you are a race unto yourself ... you are the immortality manifested in the hopes and dreams of all those unions...
this is what makes a fool out of a raciest for in being one the raciest hates all other human kind, all those that formed him and all those that might come from his own loins ... that is why wars are so pointless ... no sense of heredity or roots and therefor they are out of the ALL ... what happens after you die? you don't have kids that s what happens, the dreams and all the hopes and plans you represented ended when you die childless and do not give the DNA forward and that is the only definition of death ... guess I'm out there again sorry enjoy!

This death thing may not be completely uniform as far as the fist hour, the first "days". After that all bets are off.
So the first moments after death is one thing. There can be a little communication with the living. That's why they cover all the mirrors in the house when somebody dies in some cultures. Gypsies (1000 of years) pour booze on fresh graves if the deceased was so inclined. Among others the Tibetan Book of the dead talks of 49 days before the dead gets recycled. Others say the first day you don't even know you're dead until things start getting funny. They say (don't know how) a truck driver continued to drive his truck well past the point of death before he realized that things don't function as they should.
I had a long telephone conversation with a newly deceased policeman friend. Unfortunately I thought he called about illegal parking and spent the precious time explaining to him how I'll move the car as soon as he hangs up. He hung up and I woke up.

So far, only one person has supposedly returned from death and lived to tell about it. So according to him, you come back to earth, which wasn't an option except for reincarnation so I didn't vote because reincarnation means different things to different people.

BTW, another person will be coming back to the world through me again in November! I love giving people the chance to live forever, it kinda sucks coz this world sucks but it's not like I have any control over it. I might have to bring another one back if this one isn't a boy.

Death is but another word for change,I have "died" a thousand times yet I remain,death is an illusion cast by our limiting awareness and understanding as to the reality of life and its eternal flow,we all remain very much "alive" when we die physically,for we are three fold beings physical,mental,and spiritual,when the physical dies,we live more fully in our etheric-body-astral body.

It is all regulated by natural law,it is just that we fail to comprehend its workings.
