Graham...what can I tell you....you get off the rutted road....the smooth pavement feels so good in comparison....you know your a free spirit....that says alot about that old quote..."love was never meant to be caged"....if you close the door...the canary slowly dies...if you leave it open...the canary does not leave...it does not know there is a door.....

Beacon for the thirst
Many for a curse
Color green, red, and white
Ruby, even, golden purse
Full as nectars burst.

Will lost came to see
Forgiveness in his hand
Having done the deed
Like steps in sand
Tided a ‘way
Memory a ‘far,
Came from abandon
One by one of chinked shards he sees
To tears, waved magic wand
Moreover, then
Heard herald sigh, so raw
Taking from the rainbows craw
So taking from the clouds
Then music from fluted Pan
Grape from foreign land
To dower quite thy bond
Grabbed at sun and sand at dawn
For glass, be blown and drawn
Then filled with petal pee

However, just before the cork
Reached for spirits tall
Added not the dork, so cool
Then silvered all to wall
Righted stools at last
Called one, then all,
The fool,
To have then
And self,
A blast.

You know Graham...we may have thought we went far afield from the topic of this thread...but have we really??? Stumbling on the well rutted road is just another form of death and endings in life...alot happens to you after you pass through that death...plus the poetry is just plain nice....

Summer

Windy nights blowing clouds to swirl vertical cross the land
Just dust devils twirl then dissipated curl.

Directors chair the eye to first up high
Then Incubus below for barefoot be the TOE
As curved, a barley burr grabs the corn annulus
Tumultuous with harden paretic cur.

“Who comes across the sky?”
The demon asks the TOE
“It is I the Moon,” say she.
“All night here, to be”
“A light the way for Star”
“I hag not of thee”

“Go away then afar to reel”
“You bother Sea!”
(A hag of ocean breeze)
Waif’s wind putrid!
(A stench of fish and creel)
“I play cupid!”

“Seasons night is mine.” say he
“Dirty ground all the feed”
“My mount will need,”
“No moon or stars
For just seed!”

Graham...between you and austintorn...two great poetical expressors...its like taking a dip into the deep seas on a daily basis....enjoy it immensely, it all touches my heart...
