What happens after you're born? Well we know that by coincidence. But what about before? And where is all that equipment and fundamental memory come from? Is that part of consciousness or is it something other than that mutating into consciousness.
I think we should investigate both ends of the telescope.
And I am not talking about fertilized egg. Before that!
Hi Jim...what is before the fertilized egg and the prenatal self? In order to understand that I look upon that state as the "I" is a sheathe of " unformed energy as a possibility." Most research into this area of the prenatal self (Thomas Verny MD) clearly shows that the mother's mental and emotional sheathe determines the future mind sheathe and the direction of the emotional life of the child about to be born, for example a child will either consciously evolve along a hard sheathe versus a soft, flowing sheathe of mental and emotional life.

In the Gnostic schrolls it states..."man is in three places, his/her body sheathe, mental sheathe and emotional sheathe" of which all must be struggled with to get to or arrive at a 4th place of sentient being.

The Qabalah as script is much older than the Gnostic schrolls and states man is in 4 places and can reach a 5 place. It seems to be clear that in the history between the Qabalah and the Gnostic schrolls, man lost his place in one sheathe (sensory or sentient place/being.)

Somewhere mixed up in all this is the mystery of us....

Hi elusiverick....very profound thought here! Is this life force after death the "sheathe of unformed energy" I spoke about in the above post to Jim as "energy in state of possibility?".....could be an interesting connect to ponder upon....

Re: What happens after you die?

Hi Mikal,
Thanking you for your response to my post.
My understanding is that indeed man is ego driven, hence the reluctance to accept that we cannot know what is beyond our physical existence.
The complexity of our own bodies, this amazing planet that we fit into like the impossible jigsaw piece & it into this precise universe exactly is no coincidence.
The designer & creator of all this is in control, not us.
Until He/She reveals what awaits us after death of our physical body, without leaving room for man to debate about wording, we must humbly accept that we can only guess.
Humility & ego will continue to wrestle.

Elusively yours.

Re: What happens after you die?

Elusiverick...as a person who experienced an NDE...I would have to tell you that throughout it I lost touch with here, reality and earth...I was only conscious of what lies behind life. Because that experience is so life altering...I would have to say that I have changed views about many things in life....

Re: What happens after you die?

Hi Mikel, Thanks for your speedy reply.
I admire your mind.
I am tempted to say sorry for your NDE experience but i feel you learned much from it & survived so your life is richer for it somehow.
Having had a NDE myself I can empathise, I regained consciousness to find someone applying cpr & heart massage, I had been clinically dead.
While deceased I experienced something in my minds eye like a brightly lit passage occupied with cloaked hooded figures beckoning me on.
BUT i do believe this was happening in my physical mind, my brain & therefore I can still remember it.
My experience with journeys out of the body only left me staggered at just how complex & incomprehensible my mind/brain is.
Meditation to the point where I'm consciously unconscious, where I'm now able to put my body to sleep to the point where it even snores while I am awake mentally left me staggered as to what the mind can accomplish !
BUT this all happens on this physical plane & is not spiritual.
We are physical, fully aware of the reality of the spiritual plane but unable to experience it, we have to humbly accept this.
Thank you for a stimulating conversation.

Peace & Love,
Elusiverick.

Re: What happens after you die?

Hi Elusiverick....thanks for sharing experience. Too much has happened to me from OBEs to NDE to witnessing an apparition which history shows to be 34,000 years old to my experience with higher dimensional beings for me to ever equate all this to my brain. These beings are higher dimensional intelligence and a part of existence and might I add are on the higher spiritual rung of existence. I can understand that you have made your own decisions about your experiences and so too have I. We are astoundingly complex...

Re: What happens after you die?

As we are formed from the molecules of the elements of nature that lead to birth, and grow and live life by still absorbing them, so do we return to the same after death.

One thing that could happen is nothing. You just lose consciousness. I mean think about how you felt before you were born. How did you feel? You felt nothing. So can it not be the same for death? Also if you think that it is a depressing idea than think again. If we have an ending than that means our being here is special. It means that life is truly sacred.

Hi unk, Before I was born i was feeling pretty comfortable, all curled up an sucking my thumb sometimes, hearing muted sounds an vibrations seeing pink a lot .... and of course two hearts some times three ... pressure from hugs too but i do not remember it all ... and before I was conceived I was cellular mass with vibrations and magnetic fields ... two masses of cell formation .... but before cellular I was varied mass joining together feeling the universe even ... when I die, the human singular identity from all those creations ... the whole kit and caboodle through all time perceivable past that formed me is passed on with my children ... as I hope they do in there own time ... as it would tend to be a good thing and respect to time past ... and who are we to deny life?

The actual particle shell of having motion and advanced perceptive organization ability will decrease but there is still ... that more to consider being back in the great ocean of the universe ... and how it manifests ...
we do not know but then ... some do ... peace Graham, welcome to the TOE

Re: What happens after you die?

I wish those who've passed on would come back and tell us what's it's like. Houdini promised to, but has not appeared yet. Maybe we can clone ourselves, exactly, just before death, and never have to die.
