My avatar is from a cartoon called "Avatar: The Last Airbender". The Avatar has the ability to manipulate the four elements: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. If you squint and tilt your head just right you might be able to see how this relates to the Four Pillars of the TOE: Physics, Philosophy, Biology and Spirit. Or maybe not.

Anyway, my avatar might look kind of wimpy. What do you think?

Robert...your Avatar is certainly ponderous...I never thought of the Toe as rising from four pillars but as I thought about your statement about the Toe's relationship to the four elements...it kind of clicked whereas I feel Earth would relate to Biology because in the ancient thought "earth" represented the physcal body. I would see Air as relating to Spirit as in the Gnostic thought there is the reference to the Spirit as air or the breath. I would see Fire as relating to Physics because in the Qabalah thought fire is energy. I would relate Philosophy to water as in most thought water represents emotion which is higher than feeling and would speak of the kind of inspirational thought/feeling which must go into the art of philosophy. Just some thoughts here and my view could differ from yours view of how the match looks. Its interesting otherwise to think of the Toe as rising from four pillars just as we do as in the human state existing in four environments..

Austie....interesting number "4"....particularly interesting to me because in Dan Milman's Life Path System according to birthdate he put me on the 40/4 lifepath. Said my life was totally focused on grounding creative, cooperational and expressive energy in order to balance the 4 dimensions of energy so as to reach my own potential resources of sensitivity, inner strength, expressiveness and intuition. He marked out the challenges of my life so true to my life that I was astounded that he could know and understand my own inner hidden and private existence....if nothing else his system of thought allowed me to understand and utilize my own energy more constructively...
