Which Article Manager do you Prefer?

I have implemented two Article Managers to organize the research articles created by the our TOE Researchers. These are listed below:
    1. Research Library - The original article manager based on a commercial product that is due to have a significant upgrade sometime this year. Is not integrated with the TOE forums, but does not require you to login to read and comment on articles. If you are a researcher you are required to login separately to publish your article.
    2. vBulletin Article Manager - ToeQuest's newest article management system based on a freely available source code. Tightly integrated with the TOE forums. If you are a researcher you are placed in the Researchers user group which gives you permission to post in these forums. All articles from the original article manager have been moved to the new system.
I intend to run these in parallel, at least until I can upgrade the Research Library. It that point I'll re-evaluate which one to go with.

I voted to the new article manager because it is easier to go to and just work like the forums, so I don't have to learn or even do something extra like it is with the research library.

I suspect that the new article manager will receive better traffic and comments since it is better integrated with the home page and forums, and works just like the forums work. I am also able to display the latest n articles on the home page and a random article (or featured article if I wish) on front center of the home page.

My last check on your article showed 71. Those do include your own viewings. I'm aware of the symbol problem and recently discovered the windows character map utility. Sure makes inserting those funny symbols much easier. I'll make another pass on the articles and make sure the symbols are showing ok. LaTeX may also work in the articles but I haven't tried that out yet. Not sure what's up with the arrow key but I'll check it out.

    Thanks,

I'm just correcting my own post, I voted o the new article manager because I prefeard it but now that I've been using both of them, I can say that my favourite one is the research lybrary, because it puts everything in the same page all together: its more fluid.

    My decision

I'm closing this poll since I have come to a decision. The poll shows a tie between keeping the new article manager and keeping them both.

What I decided to do was to keep them both, but upgrade the Research Library and base it on a much better article management tool. Authors still need to apply and be registered to submit research to the research library since this is considered the high-end article submission tool. The new research library can be found here. To stay informed of future announcements regarding the upgraded Research Library, I recommend that you subscribe to it's planning thread. That way you will receive an email whenever there are changes or updates to the Research Library.

The TOE Article Manager will continue in its present form. It has proven to be popular, is integrated well with the forums, and all members can post their.
