    Recording Ideas

I have found that some of my most creative thoughts come to me when I am doing random activities such as driving in the car, shopping, exercising, showering, etc. When I sit down at my desk and force myself to be creative, inspired or to have an idea I am often disappointed. One thing I do that seems to help is to carry around a digital voice recorder wherever I go. When I have an idea a simply press a button and record my thought for later review. When I'm back at my desk I replay all my thoughts and either act on them or record them in Microsoft Outlook as a note or task for future action. The recorder I use is by Sony, model ICD-80. I like its style--comfortable in the hand and very easy to use. I don't think these are made anymore, but I was able to get one off of ebay. Everyone should get one of these babies!

Know what you mean. I have the same prob. Writers block is a ba... (Excuse my French): I sit there like a statue in front of the computer; totally inanimate.

Even my brain turns into stone. Then I give up, do something else, and forget what I was trying to do and then... BAM! There are those ideas that come to you when you don't expect it. But it is three in the morning. It's dark. You just woke up, and you can't find a pen for all the paper about you.

When you hit a block, try playing the Creativity Game www.creativitygame.com. Use one of the playing "cards" as an analogy for your subject matter.

    Thumbs down i don't like microsoft/sony

Can I use my brain instead of a recording device?

If I have, I thought now I probably can't use it tomorrow especially if I can't remember by myself…
