Probably what you say is right. However there should have been some extremely rare technical and architectural marvel at some site. We have only found the pyramids and they are build by people from this civilisation. I guess we still need to await further excavations...

Thanks dipayankar,(hopefully that unhealthy stalker is now exorcised)thats a good question,but when you look at the supposed ages of these lost civlizations,it is no real
surprise that we find little remains,in England just this week,they have found the remains
of an ancient village,just a mile away from Stone-Henge an ancient circle of stones that
are on salisbury plain in Wiltshire England,now we have know about the stones for all time
as they are clearly visible above ground,and date back around 10000 years,the village has only just been found,local farmer dug up some pottery and reported his find.

Antlantis is far older than that,and it is thought that the survivors from that continent went
to Egypt and central america,and were the brains behind the building of the pyramids,
which of course are still standing,and evidence of an advanced culture.

in particular,under the now fast melting ice of Antartica!

Another article here I found,called impossible fossils,A fossil of a human handprint,was found in limestone estimated to be 110 million years old!What appears to be a fossilized
human finger found in the Canadian artic also dates back 100 to 110 million years ago.
And lastly what appears to be the fossil of a human footprint,possibly wearing a sandel,
was found near Delta,Utah in a shale deposit estimated to be 300 million to 600 million years old.

You've got to wonder if somewhere along the line of evolution somebody pulled the plug and sent us back 200 million years.

Absolutely,I feel there is still much to be discovered about ancient civilizations,and that
buried away somewhere are artifacts that will truly astound us!

Dipayankar,yes there were indead "smart" people around long ago,just think what we were like here in England 5000 years ago,when in Eygpt they were building pyramids
here they were much like primitive farmers,and had no knowledge of mathematics as far
as I know!
