However I believe that the civilization has progressed with time. Probably the earlier civilisations (even if they existed) would not have been as progressive as we are today.

Prehaps not so on a global scale, but in isolated pockets, some were well in advance
of us,and there is indirect evidence of nuclear power?

Well it comes from the Bible in Genesis 19,where lots wife is turned into a pillar
of salt, after being told by God toleavethe city of Sodom, where angels were going to
reduce this city and Gomorrah to ashes?Lot his wife and family were all told to leave at once,"and not to look back" Lots wife did andwas turned into a pillar of salt? How?
How could these "angels" reduce to large cities to ashes in the year approx2066bc
which is about 4 thousand years ago, they only had spears and swords, prehaps a bow
and arrow, you could hardly reduce a citytoashes with these, and the other factor here
is the speed in which it happened, the wife looked backed -turned into salt-ashes?
Lot was told to hurryand leave the city at once.

It has been suggested that this could only have been done with a nuclear device!

Hi Michael ... I'm back ....

I can't resist this one. I think a nuclear reaction of any sort would vaporise all and every one within its range. How is it that the only one turned into salt was the one who stared at it. It doesn't make sense. In whose employ were these angels with their 'selective' nuclear device. . God wouldn't need to send angels, wouldn't he have the force to 'act at a distance'. The use of angels implies a 'local' universe

michael ... your having us all on .... admit it

No Greg me old mate I kid you not, over the years there have been several reports on this very thing,Angels or aliens,Atlatians,I dont really know, but I do know that both
cities were destroyed, and as the "angels" told Lot,both cities were to be reduced to
ashes in no time at all,now as the only known weapons at that time 4000 years ago
were swords, knifes, spears, bow and arrow, noneof these can destroy a city quickly!

I admit that Lot would also have been turned into ash-salt if he was next to his wife!

One has to assume they were a fare distance apart forthis to happen.Only a nuclear
device is capable of detroying two large cities simultaneously, unless you can think of
another?

Thats the story,I am merely repeating it.

Re: Artifacts of profound mystery unexplained

After going through most of the religious books, The Gita, Koran, Bible and Guru Granth Sahib (Sikhism), I have found that they are good guides for leading a simple and honest life. However I am not convinced that the examples and stories they contain are all pure facts...
