    Gambling

Markov chains can be used to model many games of chance. The children's games Snakes and Ladders and "Hi Ho! Cherry-O", for example, are represented exactly by Markov chains. At each turn, the player starts in a given state (on a given square) and from there has fixed odds of moving to certain other states (squares).
From a study of Markov chains, some might lead themselves to believe that they can master the odds, then? Be careful with poker. In poker, one plays the player as much or more than one plays the cards.

Re: Maslow's hierarchy of psychosocial needs

I'm using Markov chain in a time series connection of a living thing, for example, a person from generation after generations along the same bloodline. I know what my grandfather was as a person since I grew up with him but I have no connection to my great grandfather. So, normally every personal connection can last only at most three generations: grandparents-parents-offspring. Since I have no children, I'm the last of my bloodline connection.
Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²

Likewise, I leave no direct descendants. My legacy shall be the genetics of the very few good horses I am raising and training, animals well suited to interact with our species, as the expanding of civilization and agriculture has deprived them of their natural habitat.

The protocols of good horsemanship have proliferated by means of memes and oral history since our relationship first began with this helpful creature and writings on the teachings of horses since approximately 400B.B.

A meme (pronounced /ˈmiːm/, rhyming with "cream"[1]) is a postulated unit of cultural ideas, symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena. (The etymology of the term relates to the Greek word μιμητισμός ([mɪmetɪsmos]) for "something imitated".)[2] Supporters of the concept regard memes as cultural analogues to genes, in that they self-replicate and respond to selective pressures.[3]

Then if the horse species becomes dominant over all other creatures including humans they surely will place you among the pantheon of their gods as what Hari Sheldon was to the Robots Empire of 1,000,000 AD. My question would 'meme' by synoymous to a packet or capsule of memory?

A meme is usually described as a discrete unit of inherited imitation. At present, there is no mechanism for measurement.

The term was coined by Richard Dawkins as a complement to genes in the theory of evolution.

With genes, we have a visible entity that can be studies, although which gene or combination of genes arise in which trait(s), is still the subject of much study and speculation. With memes, we study the expression of various cultural behaviors, as we lack an actual entity that we can measure.

The theory of memes, is therefore much criticized by empirical science.

In studying horses, I have been fascinated to observe that the various breeds have distinctly different 'cultures' in their behavior toward each other. Though they appear little different to the inexperienced eye, ( unless they are as disparate in size as a Shetland or a Clydesdale), the ways of an Arabian, a Morgan and a QH, as example, are as unique as the differences in expression between the English, the French and the Russians.

Another example may be in humans, as when a child, raised away from it's biological parents, may still express mannerisms that are distinctly that of it's parents, though it could not have learned them at their side.

Genes may be suited to left-brain study, and memes to right-brain observation. Just my thoughts on the topic.

I am wondering would a complete understanding of the non-metric (not measure able) properties of the meme be able to solve all our multicultural problems of the world today, especially the basis of multicultural religous beliefs (e.g. between Islam and Christianity).

Better understanding could allow us to recognize which areas we may integrate and which best remain discrete when designing systems of living, governance and sharing resources. As growth is continual, in the return of the seasons and in our evolution, understanding and re-modeling will remain a fluid process, exactly the purpose of the object of our discussion, the meme....

'Live and let live' is the operative ideology in a setting of adequate space and resources. When there is enough for all, the path of least resistance is observed, save for minor displays over the choice bits.....from food, to mate selection, shelter, and so on up the list of needs and desires.

When 'overgrowth' of any population occurs, there shall be a readjustment.

There are many ways to readjust. Reallocation and realignment are a couple of 'coping strategies.'

Another is to start shedding the unnecessary and be ready to move in any direction.

    Travel light and fast.
