But I found the Chinese version of Hanuman better and I kept two sets of English translation for the epic saga of 'Journey to the West.' The original version was published in 1500s. In them, there are many science fantasies that resemble modern technologies such as the lasers, flying machines, and nuclear powers. There might be cold fusion. I will check it again.

Depending on what the actual source and nature is of 'the life force' and that which constitutes individual will and shapes our personality, your grandfather's belief system may be valid.

In those arenas where the unobserved can be neither proved, nor disproved, one may believe as they choose.

When new evidence on these topics come to light, the intelligent person will absorb same, and restructure their existing knowledge base around the composite of both. Information which no longer holds validity is either discarded, or filed further back, in the event that new discovery makes it relevant yet again.

My question is the source of the uniqueness of a single individual within the space-time fabric such that no one in the past, present, or future will ever be the same physically and mentally, although certain historical events seem to repeat themselves.

The uniqueness comes, perhaps, from the observation that all life experience is cumulative, and from the law of physics that states 'no two objects may occupy the same space at the same time.'

Though people stand shoulder to shoulder during the passing of any event, each will record it through their senses in a different manner, as determined by that which nature has granted unto them, and in accordance with the frameworks of reference they have accumulated to that point.

These frameworks are ever in motion....and observations are ever streaming in.....

So go my thoughts, at this time......

This is equivalent to Pauli exclusion principle, which is applicable to all fermions. On the other hand, the principle of superposition states that two or more bosons (e.g. light particle called photons, and Cooper pairs in superconductivity) can occupy the same quantum state at the same time. The technological application of the principle of superposition is the LASER for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. Natural phenomena of LASER hardly exist but artificially it can be done.

Right, Antonio. You just went off my radar screen, guy......

I am a very simple phenomenon of natural light. My limited spectrum is unable to interface when you go 'laser' on me, lol.....

I'll wait until you toss me something that my simplistic being is capable of ruminating upon....

I may have to consult with the ants for further modes of communication......just being silly now.....

Each time we see or not see coherent light of the same color we are looking at the product of LASER. Low energy of LASER appears red, and it is now used in checkout counters of most supermarkets. It is also the same working principle behind CDs, DVDs, and Bluerays, etc.

Ah yes, the infamous 'self-serve checkouts' that were recently introduced in the North. They met with considerable resistance, but the shortage of warm bodies to serve as cashiers has rather forced an uneasy acceptance.

CD's, DVD's and Bluerays are a great example of technology that utilizes non-interchangeable technology, as not all devices are capable of 'communicating' with each other's data, and this causes much confusion among consumers who are new to this venue.

One standard would have been logical, yet this diversification feeds the market economy that is capitalism.

Since the invention of the LASER more and more modern technologies and medicines cannot function without it. The fight for priorty among its inventors have taken almost 50 years http://inventors.about.com/od/lstart...ns/a/laser.htm

Thank you for the link, Antonio. I use a hand-held computer with a laser eye in much of my work. The laser scans the bar-code and the hand-held computer relays the data requested to the central computing system so that I may then print labels or request signs. The use of the laser is far less tedious than having to record and manually key in the numerical data, as each product has 11 or more digits that need be keyed in to identify it. The laser beam can be disoriented by the ambient light and reflections from the clear plastic label shields, which may require one to alter the angle or range of scanning before it can read the signal. A very useful tool that saves a great deal of time and improves all around efficiency. Not nearly as frustrating as the self-checkouts mentioned earlier.
