    2. Each individual agrees to suspend judgement in the conversation.

... ... not label another or his ideas as insane.

    4. Individuals in the conversation try to build on other individuals' ideas in the conversation.

now wouldn't that make a refreshing change?

what do people need to understand?

Nothing more than all people have the same basic needs (really not much) and all people desire sustainable equality
    - even though people don't understand themselves enough, yet, to know that this is true.

We believe (falsely) that society is no longer lawless.
We believe (falsely) that we do not live in a world in which the most aggressive bully wins (through capacity for physical intimidation).
We believe (falsely) that we are 'good' people.

None of the above is true.

Money has simply taken the role of direct physical contact; the problem has become considerably worse as all people (who are able to touch money) alternate between bully and the bullied
... ... where the rules are currently that if you are a politician, banker, CEO or lawyer
    - that you are a part of an exclusive set which can protect each others' backs.

If you look through the quotes which we make on site - notice how few are attributed to politician, banker, CEO or lawyer
    - the reason for this, is that the politician, banker, CEO or lawyer does not have anything meaningful
(by virtue of the broken mindset which is required in these professions
ref. (on site) malleability of the immature mind)
    to say.

Note that business, law and banking are weak on scientist
    - the scientist is required to make sense; this is not true in these other pseudo-disciplines (see posts above).

Don't ever give human beings the right to set up their own belief system (the law)
    - it'll be set up with only one thing in mind
    - benefit to the few who benefit from repression of the many.

We appear to capable of more objectivity when we're studying aspects of nature which pre-date our (modern man's) pathetic little delusional (hopefully not for much longer) existence.

This is the default mindset of man (the God delusion of the ego state)
    - and is what we are supposed to be learning to get over.

Re: Deranged 'group-think' definition for 'insanity'.

All of which is to suggest that in order to aspire to doing the 'right' thing, that we should work down from a fundamental axiom of species-wide benefit (mental level hierarchy)
    --- and ---
not down from a fundamental axiom of (from a historical perspective) species-wide monarch (physical level hierarchy).

If we simply imagine two sets of people, each characterized by their support for those two opposing ideals
physical (immature, monarch, child) versus mental (mature (relatively),species-benefit (freedom fighters),properly adult (wise)) level hierarchies ... ... ...

... ... ... then we see that problems are likely to ensue
    - the immature mindset calling the mature mindset 'insane' - when the mature mindset attempts to bring about change for the better (which the immature mindset by virtue of its immature mind, actually cannot understand).

RascalPuff's Berkeley quote indicates the problem which people will face of the same words meaning different things to different people; what though of this even more significiant problem - of one group of people being functionally incapable of understanding the argument which another is attempting to make?

physical (immature, monarch, child) versus mental (mature (relatively),species-benefit,properly adult (wise)) level hierarchies ... ... ...
Note though that the physical level hierarchy is required by children until they reach wisdom
    - where the very vast majority of people die with the immature (relatively) structure of mind.

Note the connection to Eire/Northern Ireland (and the religious terrorism of Christianity which predominated before the ascendancy of oil pushed Islamic terrorism to the fore).

physical (immature, monarch, child) versus mental (mature (relatively),species-benefit,properly adult (wise)) level hierarchies

The monarchists of Protestantism in Northern Ireland versus the Catholics of Eire (seeking independence).
The Empire (from Star Wars) versus the Jidisshe rebels (seeking independence).

    ~s~
"Real" Yiddish literature, however, began with the haskole. When the Enlightenment finally came to Eastern Europe, it gave many Jews an avenue to break away from the strict confines of religion and become secular scholars, or m askids. Modernism and free thought became more permissable, and creative expression found other avenues than prayer and commentary.
Stressing the point that although the motivation has been towards independence - that freedom fighters are doomed to fail until freedom leads to a one~world state of Union.
A Catholic victory in Northern Ireland would not actually have lead to absolution, in any true sense of the term.

One~World only and One~World alone will do.

Re: Deranged 'group-think' definition for 'insanity'.

    In simplest summary

    - 2 types of mind - immature and mature.

The immature mind often (based on currently) does not mature.

The immature mind forms into groups which define itself upon its success in thwarting opposing groups.

The mature mind sees that there is only one group, though cannot recruit the immature mind to his cause, because the immature mind is at a stage in his life where he needs to be a part of a group (and to see opposing groups as threats)
as a key aspect of that developmental stage.

All well and good as long as we realise that that is just a stage which we're meant to pass through.

Anybody growing up around the Catholic/Protestant hostilities in Northern Ireland will know just how worse than immature (downright vicious if displayed by the adult)
the poorly educated mind can behave.

The capacity for self-righteousness which the immature mind may exhibit is breathtaking.

It really has no insight into itself.
