It is an absurd question for the simple reason that quantum refers to the smallest possible piece of quantity by which something can be divided. But, it is also very dificult to think of something that is fundamental, that is not made of something smaller. Therefore, this thread.
What are the fundamental elementary particles made of?
I started a long time ago a similar thread but about strings, now, to see the opinions in general physics, not only a theory, I do this thread.
The most common answers are: of energy, of space (or space-time), or of themselves (that is, they are just full particles). What do you think about these answers and why are the good/bad?
One more thing, I think we should talk differently when talking about the fermions and the bosons. But if your answers is general, it's fine.
