Can anybody please answer 3 questions realted to MWI:
i)Suppose I measure anything, then I will also be divided into two different universes according to the no. of probable things. But I don't feel any change. I think everything is going continous. But if it really divides where does 'I' go. I don't feel any change. What thing my mind thinks? Where does that previous 'I' go?
ii)Suppose there's a match between India and Pakistan going on. There will be many events in the match and hence too many universes will be created. But the result will be either India wins or Pakistan wins. So, different results will happen in different (too many) universes. So, I think all the universes will combine in 2 universes according to the result. Can this happen?
iii)Suppose an electron is in a superposition of 2 states adn the probability is 0.8 for A and 0.6 for B. Then according to MWI both the things will happen in 2 different universes. Then what's teh matter of probability here if both the things happen?
I think we can be certain that we merge into one observable universal state. The universe with neither state or the universes with both don't exist, not even for a short time.

1. "I" doesn't really make any sense here. The important point to realise is that, when there is a decision to be made, there will be two universes: one in which the decision is yes and one where the decision is no. Now, regardless of which universe you are in, you will have a self consistent history.
2. I don't know what you mean. Why does, in your example, the laws of the universe favour a decision of who wins the match over, say, someone bowls a hatrick? There will be many universes in which india win, and many in which pakistan win, but each universe in which one of the countries wins will not the same as the others.
3. What do you mean by "both things will happen in two different universes"? You need to state whether the events are mutually independent, etc..

If you haven't found something strange during the day, it hasn't been much of a day - John A. Wheeler.
How can a different universe be created like that? Forgive me for my ignorance. Can someone explain (or post links) about String theory and other such interesting advancements (I have done Classical Mechanics and introductory Quantum Mechanics.) .
Thanks.

It's just an "alternative reality," not a new universe in a different spacetime. I'm not too good on this interpretation of QM, so I'll leave it there and see if anyone else wants to chime in?

Well, I probably could do, but then I'm not really sure what you want to know. Do you want some popular books on string theory (in which case I'd probably recommend Brian Greene's books to start) or some technical books on string theory (in which case I'd recommend Zwiebach's book "A First Course in String Theory-- although, beware, this will require a fair bit of maths, knowledge of QM and especially Quantum Field Theory.)
I can also probably point you towards some reliable websites too. Anyway, let me know what you want and I'll try and get back to you!
