Re: Now Anybody Could Understand Quantum Mechanics!

I have been reading a lot of George Bernard Shaw quotes lately, maybe because it was recently my birthday and I am his namesake, I don't know, but I will start off with one of his quotes "Democracy is a device that insures we shall be governed no better than we deserve". What does this have to do with Quantum Mechanics you might ask, well I will get to that shortly. As I observe the world we live in I see great beauty and greater tragedy. The majority of beautiful things are those that have been unaltered by humans, and conversely most tragedies are caused by us. The reason of course, greed "lack of money is the root of all evil". How is it that scientist who are considered the smartest in our society continue to get funds to follow what they surely must know is their on tail. The main thing about our universe is that it is a system of survival, and that survival is based on us not knowing the "absolute truth" about it. So how is it that we spend trillions on science while bridges and levees collapse around us for no other reason than lack of funding, simple "A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul", and what does your government want for this funded loyalty, and here's the irony, they hope that in their futile quest for nothingness, scientist will either stumble on a way to achieve immortality or a way to efficiently kill people. Now my thoughts on QM. The chasm between the smallest measurement we have achieved and the largest is the size of our known universe squared. So until we spend trillions on making sure every person on the planet has food and shelter, to me QM is just another notch on the ruler that very few get to see, but very many pay for. And our dividend, we get to discuss and dream of the possibilties of what could be, instead of focusing on the reality that is. Happy New Year Everyone

A couple more quotes from G.B.S. "If all the economists were laid end to end, they'd never reach a conclusion", "If there was nothing wrong in the world there wouldn't be anything for us to do"
"Energy in search of source to achieve reaction"

Dear nameless,

[quote
Then QM is dead (and it ain't) or you have completely redefined it (due to a lack of 'mystical' vision I'd guess). I don't think that it is 'translatable'....
No, QM is not dead, it still alive! What I have done is not “redefined” or “translate” it, but instead, I just tried to explain its mechanism (how it works) scientifically and understandable for man.

[quote In The Tao of Physics, Fritjof Capra, said in 1982:
“I now believe that the world view of mystical tradition is the best and most appropriate philosophical background for the theories of modern science.”

In’ Genius; the life and science of Richard Feynman’;
“Quantum mechanics comes on as so off-the –wall that only a mystic state of mind can even begin to probe its mysteries.”
May be because at that time Frijof Capra and Richard Feynman could not find it in scientific way, and up to now they may change their mind (if they still alive)! For me, I don’t believe in mystical tradition, what I believe is only scientific tradition!

[quote
"Any branch of knowledge, whether geology or astronomy, strikes mysticism as soon as it reaches any depth."
May be or may be not! Yes time will tell.

Sincerely,

Nimit

Unfortunately, 'classical physics', 'traditional scientific method', cannot take us beyond their point of their obsolescence. 'We' have progressed beyond the 'clockwork' notions of materialism, the obsolete notions of 'objective observers' and ultimately repeatable experiments under the 'same' conditions, empiricism itself, with the discovery of 'Consciousness'.
It seems that your 'beliefs' (Perspective) will barr you from enjoying much of what QM and its new-world-view implications have to offer. There is a whole new Golden Age of Consciousness (with very different universes, commensurately) right 'around the corner', for the Earth. (Personally, it's about time, we have certainly paid our dues!!!)
The 'classical' stuff does work at a locally limited level, great for keeping the gas guzzler running and all, but, it ain't the future, and it's 'reality' shrinks daily.
But, i suspect you'll find that out for yourself.
Or not...
Either way, peace, and nice to meet you.
Namaste'

An interesting read about Hawking can be found here.

Consciousness is all we are and breaking into new universes and new straits of consciousness is our human right and destiny. We have mind identities which are just components of mind....

No, I don’t think that “classical physics” is obsolete, “traditional scientific method” give us a more rational and understandable way! Instead of “modern physics” which can not give us an explanation how modern a physics theory such as QM, works! This is the reason that my presenting paper “Completed QM” was written for improve the conventional QM.

This is the crucial problem in modern physics theories! Because it means that our progressions in physics do not need to “understand” how it works! This is the reason that the theory such as QM can not go further from “quantum field” toward “quantum gravity”.

No, my believe do not prevent me, instead it give me the way how to modify QM!

i'm fond of ditching our physics class whenever our subject is about Quantum Physics...no mater how hard i try, it's not that easy to learn that stuff

Dear badzy,

I suppose that you not yet read “Six Easy Pieces” by Richard P. Feynman, in the topic “Quantum Behavior”, do you? It is an easy book about quantum mechanics that you should try! But if you already read it, what is your opinion about it?

Cheer,

Nimit
