    You are right! What I have talked about is the meaning of “nothingness” (in which I explained that it is the same thing as “empty space” or “void”)!
    We have the CBR permeating all space. Indeed I believe, as many others do that there is the ether. Even Einstein reconciled himself to that.

    Me too, and according to the definition in my paper I called it as “vacuum medium”. The reason behind is that “aether” was understood as “something” filled the “empty (vacuum) space”, while “vacuum medium” was defined as the fabric of vacuum space!
    To me the VOID is that which is OUTSIDE our universe. That is what give space the room for expansion. Space expands into the void and once it does it becomes part of our universal space.

    According to the concept of “vacuum medium universe”, space-time was created out of “vacuum medium”; there is “no place” which called as “outside” the universe. When the universe is expanding, it means that the volume of vacuum medium is increasing!

    Sincerely,
    Nimit

    Again thanks for your response Nimit.

    Where is our universe expanding. In other words it needs " room " to expand. In my mind in the beginning, before the big bang, there was nothing but the Void, and the universe expanded in that. I understand that there is nothing outside the universe, which I agree, but that nothing I call the Void.

    Best,

    Pat

    Indeed, it is very difficult for us to think intuitively where our universe is expanding to! Let’s try to think in this way;

    First, by definition, universe is everything (all matters and space-time) physical exist.

    Second, before the creation of the universe (such as the big bang), there is no matter, space and time. So, there is no meaning to think that there is void (empty space) and time (is running) before the creation.

    Third, once the after the creation, space was formed, time start to run and mater was created, then it is the expanding universe!

    Sincerely,
    Nimit

    hmmm ok Pat, if the universe expanded into "nothing" why is there so much entropic drag effect ? And how do we know there was nothing it expanded into? hope? ... there is just to much dark matter for my faith .. kind regards graham

    Hi graham;

    In the beginning there is this little tiny point we call the universe. Where is it at? That little tiny point expands. There is something (the universe), there is nothing (the void). So unless you can describe and show the universe expanding without the void I'll remain faithful to the Void.

    Best,

    Pat

    Space was not always there, just sitting around; matter forms space-time, and even vice-versa.

    The Void is always there Austin. Again my challenge to you, Fredrick, Lloyd, graham or any one out there to show me an image of the universe expanding into anything other than the Void. I don't know why there is difficulty in this, as it is the only logical, imaginable, explainable, common sense answer. Even physicists are somewhat mute on this issue. I have no idea as why except that it's not provable or physical and therefore out of their realm.

    So come on guys use your God given common sense on this issue and you'll know I'm right. I believe the current thought is: "There is only the universe and there is nothing outside of it, and that there is nothing that the universe expands into." I have no problem with that thought.

    Best,

    Pat

    the study of QM is the smallest un-dividable structure of the quanta state of any thing ... what we do know is the potential of the Universe to have reached a point that small as it is done in the less then full event all over the universe.... further these smaller events do not expand into nothing but through space and what is contained in it. The real is that there is no state of void in an exist today, never will be, and by all the laws and rules of physical science in the small and in the big (math not with standing that you can do most anything with) physical exist there never was a void per sec or real determinate how small it all came from other then the potential of how small it could have been. We are though a very small mote of a mote of a mote of a mote of a mote in Gods eye be there a God in such a void.

    In the Orion Nebula you can see tadpole structures where bow waves are wrapping around other formations of stars and solar systems even a bit further out from core. These non turned on structures for example point toward a clarity of what may have been and the key word there is may have been.

    Kind regards graham

    Re: Now Anybody Could Understand Quantum Mechanics!

    Hi graham;

    Do you have proof or at least a reference that the void isn't there? Can you give me an image of the universe expanding into something other than the void? You do believe the universe is expanding don't you? Again graham where was that little tiny point at? Space was in that point. The point, along with space expanded, but how unless there was a void to receive it.

    So I'm looking for a logical explanation and an image of what our universe is expanding into if not the void. Even the balloon analogy need the air around it to expand.

    Best,

    Pat

    P.S. My debate techniques may be a bit rusty but I don't think I have to prove nothing (void) rather if you are saying something other, you have the burden of proof, which could be tough because you also believe it is nothing.

    Notice the arrow tips are expanding into the "white" void.
