    Re: I disagree with Albert

    Vergon;
    You can post your paper as blog pages by simply starting your own member blog. You can also present it to Robert as an article.

    Now to be even more picky, mass is a measure of the inertia property of matter. This permits quantitative comparisons of material objects but not quantitative amounts of a fundamental substance. Mass can actually be viewed as the quantity of “Potential Energy” of atomic particles; that’s why mass and energy are interchangeable. Do you really think that accelerating an object can really increase the amount of its substance? We don’t have a real quantitative measure of fundamental substance.

    It is those who are not so picky that cause so much confusion about science.

    I don't think he's worth it, dleviwing.
    Generally, in speaking of matter, you imply a distinction from fields such as an electromagnetic field. But except in situations such as a standing wave, the electromagnetic field has momentum.

    Hi Yeltsin;
    He may not be worth it but stopping misconceptions from propagating is worth it.

    I view an electromagnetic field as just another construct of a fundamental substance. The electrical and magnetic phenomena of such fields are nothing more than measurements of the effects of its fundamental properties like quantity and motion.

    BTW: Welcome to ToeQuest; how about giving us a post in the introduction forum.

    Could be. There must be at least a dozen peer reviewed amd mutually exclusive GUTs, String Theories, and Supergravities claiming electromagnetism is a one aspsect or another of a unifying structure.

    Thanks, dleviwing
