Lets say that I was floating in space. I am basically traveling at the speed of light relative to someone outside the universe looking in BUT relative to everything around me I am not moving at all since everything in the universe is moving away from a theoretical point at the speed of light. Now, I throw a ball parallel to the direction that I am moving. Relative to me, the ball is moving at 3mph. To someone outside the universe it is moving 3mph faster than the speed of light.
Q1: If the speed of light is the fastest anything can go, how come this situation with anything can occur? We launch a rocket into space; at some point it is traveling in that direction at a speed greater than 0mph.
Q2: Can Time and Motion be one of the same thing? Motion directly affects time. Time changes when you move at different rates.
