Of what I know, light curves in space-time because of the curvature of this last one caused by the gravity from matter/mass. Light can only go in streinght line, in a place where there is no mass (very outer space).
to adjacent of the last post, there is no streinght line in the universe. no at all. That's why light does not travell streinght. it's impossible.
does it mean that light has no mass?
i think light curves in space do to the mass of plants. the light we see look like it going stringht but the gravity of some thing big real big can move or been light. and i think guille was right.
thanks juan, for giving me the right.
Up there, yes, light has no mass.
super
hope my info helps
hey guy
how can i make a forum and do you know any club or bookshop that people talk about TOE in los angeles cali. can you e-mail me the info.
sweet
this thread is about light and light curvature.
Although, you won't find any place better than this web and these forums, to comment, learn, teach......about THE QUEST FOR THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING.
light travels along geodesic lines for each particular spacetime geometry.Originally Posted by hardyivan007
For 4D Euclidean geometry, this geodesic is the straight line of plane and solid geometry.
For 4D elliptic, spherical or Riemannian geometry, these geodesics are the great circles.
For 4D hyperbolic Gaussian geometry, the geodesics are envelopes of hyperbolae.
Geodesic lines are shortest paths between two points for each particular geometry.
the physical reason why light travels along the shortest paths is to spend as little energy as possible in going from here to there. This is also the reason why water always flow downstream, why heat travels from hot to cold, why the entropy of the universe increases.
