    ok that's fine

but saying I don't believe in God
and saying there's no God is different

if you're second one so how do you know that there's no God ?
if you're the first one what's the reason of that ?

what about spirit, feelings and mind ? do they exist ?

    we're only talking my friend

Re: what is the most powerful?

I once saw a twist to a popular bumper sticker
    No God, Know Peace;
There is no interactive God. The God of religion is an invention of the human mind in order to come to grips with mortality within an infinite realm (my conclusion from reading the Power of Myth, Joseph Campbell). There is only chaos and the abilty of matter to organize temporarily in response to entropy.
Reasonless existence, nature wrestling with naked evolution, survival of the fittest is all there is, from inflation to big bang to black holes to the big rip, the cosmos cares very little about your temporary consciousness.
"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both"
    Benjamin Franklin

All "things" exist my friend for as long as you have need of them? Then they are no more!

Dogmatorium, sis for short,In my six decades here on this planet, and after
many many visits here, you begin to learn the odd thing or two,I have in this
lifetime read ALL of the major and a few of the minor books of there respective doctrines and dogmas. They all to me say basically the same thing!
There is but one God!Where the trouble starts is that each thinks that "THERE" God is the right one,and the rest are wrong!I do not need, want,or have any usefor such a thing today,That power lies within, people say they
are searching for God?I find this quite amusing, are they implying that God is
somehow LOST?It is we who are lost my friend, not God?

    kind regards michael/

there are many degrees of atheism. Some consider me to be an atheist but I do'nt think I am. Mr Dogma the God I Believe in is the conscious power that dwells with in and without of everything and everybody. Within the smallest point in the center of your body, to the farthest star (sun) you can think of and beyond.Everything is in it and nothing is outside of it..............I would like to talk more on this but Im on my way to a reunion..I would like to here more on this subject.

Re: what is the most powerful?

HI everyone, I am new here and from what I have been reading, not anywhere near your level of learning. However I am a free thinker and ? a lot of the positions that are handed to us by the powers to be. One like God created everything in 6 days and rested on the 7 day. When we look at time related occurances, for some reason we or most individuals refer to a 24 hour clock. This thinking only happens on earth, mars because of where it is postioned in our system would have a longer day than ours. Now can anyone please tell me how long would a day at the edge of the universe be, possibly 2 billion of our years maybe. If that is possible would that mean God is resting now on his/her 7th day and science is just trying too catch up. Is it possible that Religion and science are on the same track with only a misunderstanding on the time line, ie our day, month, year century, millenium, a speck of time compared to a total universe time equation. Just a thought, thanks James.
