ls. | If only we could all adhere to that idea, the world would indeed be paradise!
Thanks for your reply Ls.

| | Re: There is no such thing as me? hg;who is going to serve the humanity or for that matter, society? only we, its inhabitants! why we should entangle ourselves needlessly with verbal phrasiology? only thoughts, words and deeds must be in co-ordination with our end/goal, which is "Heads in forest, hands in society". the ls. recollects that, hg. somewhere mentioned the miserable state of a crying baby! her first and foremost reaction should have been to 'adopt' that child, instead of narrating her petiable condition.(a food for thought!).ls. | | | | Moderator

| Re: There is no such thing as me? Me exists as a surface anchor to weigh down the "idea" that is expanding along the
evolutionary cycle of expression.
The real me is a vapour that will disperse when the light of soul consciousness illumines
its shadowy presence.
Me will gradually be replaced with"I" and this "I" will become evermore inclusive as its
real indentity unfolds within the cycles embrace?

| | Re: There is no such thing as me? Brother Michael, the real ‘I’ whom we all seek, is not within the realms of the mind. Of course, intellect, initially, does play some part in understanding the extent of our ‘knowledge-frontiers’. After having known our physical entity& the underlying thread that sustains it (physical laws), the role of the mind is over. We find in the mind only that which already exists in the material world. So all our endeavors in in-depth study of the mind, would find only its latent layers of memories! For once forget about mind---not that it would go somewhere, you will be surprised about the results. While in the mind, our conscious is centered on one thought, but simultaneously it is also engaged in inner dialogues. We have to arrest its waywardness& focus it only on one object/idea. Slowly the focused ‘object’ too vanishes& there remains only the ‘conscious’. Be steady on this (spot) ‘conscious’---practice& practice! Then you will find that the centre of conscious has mysteriously shifted to somewhere else. Thereafter your journey to Self-relaisation begins. Give it try! With love®ards.ls | | | | Moderator

| Re: There is no such thing as me? Many thanks my brother for your insightful input, and comments on this here thread,we
have many memories,as you so rightly state,I seem to have my fair share of them.
I,self, and me,all eventually fade into obscurity, there is left just the IS!But that is a little
way off at the present, that IS,is the ultimate resting place of the three aspects of form, the
I,self, and me,as we walk the evolutionary highway to spiritual insightfulness, inclusiveness
becomes the true way of realization, and the power of the mind gives way to the light of
lifes inner radiance.
The greater effort one puts into inner realization, and mental poise and balance, the greater the understanding of inner wisdom will trickle into the conscious mind.
regards michael.

| | Re: There is no such thing as me? Contraries are equally true
they do not zero each other out (as I used to think) but determine a new concept not available on either horn of the dilemma.
Transcending the opposites - another way to play this.
What are contraries to what? There is one rub. Music walks on counterpoints, colors have theirs, paintings their canvas, feelings their unconcious component. It is like superposition in quantum physics.
The reason I bring this up is: the ME and the WHATEVER contrary coexist. From them arises a structure that does include the ME and the WHATEVER plus possibly more. It cannot be arrived at neither thru ME nor its complement. One has to do some other thing then it hits one from above.
To tell the truth whatever hit me there was no trace of the ME in it but I didn't miss it. Hope this makes sense? Does it have to? | | | | Moderator

| Thanks Jim,it does make sense to me,the coexisting part is I feel our duality,
which ultimately we have to resolve into the one?
regards michael.
