    Progress blocked by Religion

One of the largest obstacles to finding the T.O.E will be religious belief. Religion has been an obstacle to progress for centuries. I can give many examples but I will only say one name and you will know what I mean "Galileo". There are many discoveries to this day that religions have stop, try to stop or delayed. The superstitious beliefs in religion has blocked progress in the world. Religion is the judge of what is morally accepted, safe and allowed. If the T.O.E. turns out to be something controversial and the religions of the world don't accept it, ignorance will remain for another hundred years. The T.O.E. may discover something that will prove everything religion has taught to be false. It appears that religion is not searching for truth but control.

In a way I agree. Certainly the Galileo incident was unfortunate. But the religion of the Roman Empire and subsequently the rest of Europe is a bastardised affair. The teachings of Jesus, on the other hand, present no obstacle to discovering the truth about everything. Indeed, according to him 'seek and ye and shall find'. Try reading the Gospels of Thomas and Mary for his more cosmological and 'nondual' teachings.

It is impossible to know that something is true if it's not, so science and religion have nothing to fear from each other except a clash of conjectures.

Galileo was only one example, there are many to this day. I agree with you about Jesus' teachings and I am familar with the Gospels of Thomas and the letters of Mary, but I can't help and notice the way these so call Doctors of Theology teach the ways of Jesus, the T.O.E. will never be accepted or revealed. These religious leaders teach their followers superstition and mythology as if it were fact. If all of the miracles and myths were taken out of the Jesus story, we would hear the true wisdom of a man. A MAN not a GOD. Jesus the man, the teacher, the philosopher, said one of my favorite quotes " I in the father and the father in me" John 14:10. Here Jesus tells us the Power is in us and we in the Power. I believe he was teaching about the spirit, the energy, the unseen power in and out of everything and everybody. The T.O.E. I believe will one day connect it all.
