Re: What is the Root of all evil?

A team of American and Iraqi epidemiologists estimates that 655,000 more people have died in Iraq since coalition forces arrived in March 2003 than would have died if the invasion had not occurred......quote by SB...

A valid statement about the death toll due to war and occcupation of a foreign land and its people.

I have examined the affects of the war on those surviving. Pharmacuetical drug use has skyrocketed due to the affects of anxiety, fear, panic and depression about a long-lasting situation which persists among the masses...when viewing the war its wise to take the war equation to the question..."at the end of what is occurring...who is benefiting"????...the answer reveals alot....Cheney's ammunition company, corporations involved in private security, stockholders investing in disaster scenarios, and the pharmecuetical giant corporations....

In the past there has been a drive towards living in urban centres -
I believe that we're going to observe a reversal in this pattern as people grow claustrophobic in cities.

The network allows geographically distributed work patterns.

A reduction in population and increased self-sufficiency -
always on communication lines courtesy of ultra-fast wireless connectivity

    - life will become a holiday -
work will be what we do to make us happy -

and whatever it is that we contribute to community -
we'll understand that everybody else is contributing similarly -

We all struggle with the constant battle to understand device categories. UMPCs, netbooks, MIDs and other labels that, on the whole, are simply there so that the manufacturers can produce multiple similar devices with different target customers, pricing, and marketing strategies. If you look back at every term we use today you’ll find that it came from a sales/marketing/PR group and I bet that all of them have their roots in generating new revenue. Wouldn’t it be nice if you were a computing company that didn’t have to worry about existing product ranges though. You have a completely free and open remit to make a device that spans as many markets as possible and would end up with something at the limits of technology, not at the limits of shareholder acceptance! OQO did it with the 02 and now Raon have done it with the Everun Note.

the reality of what is percieved and known... as EVIL

Saṃsāra (it's like an experience, perhaps even predisposed by previous incarnations of ourselves)

the ONLY cessation.... is to stop perpetuating it

yes, like the momentum of Adam and Eve---affecting us today!

Re: What is the Root of all evil?

    Hi eriqinmos...welcome to the TOE....
The ability to perceive evil is called "the evolution of social consciousness". From the 1960s to the 90s we have been evolving through to that level of consciousness where it has accelerated to millions of people becoming aware of environmental degradation, social injustice and other human atrocities. We have been calling this an "awakening" but it is really the evolution of social consciousness and it is a metamorphosis affecting all gradually.....

    where Mikal's

    'metamorphosis'

    state 1 -> state 2

requires state 2 to take state 1's place thereby witnessing

    Eriq's 'cessation' (of state 1).
