But you are correct - concepts make all the difference.

My actual answer was basically that "the concept of Good is the root of all concepts of Evil." Ideas of Good always put everything else into relative contexts.

I think I said something very similar (page 359) so I agree with your answer.

I guess the sprout of evil would be-arrogance and self importance rooted in the soil of our profound confussion.

The confussion would be not knowing good from evil when we see it. It's a serious problem that we have.

My answer was The CONCEPT of GOOD is the Root of All

Broadly expressed as:

GOOD......GOD The notional ultimate good

EVIL........DEVIL The notional ultimate evil

jag: The root of all evil is GOOD.

If god, from which all goodness flows, is an all loving father, then evil must be that which becomes hungry and thirsty for something else.
