There have been all sorts of things that have lead to sophistication. Some people like to think Christianity is responsible for it all, but ... that is merely a path, god is the goal. "To him through me." What would one be without the other? Everything serves a unique purpose. If you contemplate Christianity, whom are you really thinking about ... ultimately? Were cave paintings, words, wheels, or thought the first steps to this sophistication? Every time you think you have it all figured out, something will change. This doesn't mean that you will not be able to be right or wrong about somethings ... but never everything. Who wants God's job? I ... "sure as hell" don't, thank God it's not my responsibility.

I have a little time to spare so with the help of Steph, a neighbours 15 year old daughter, I will attempt to sympathetically address your, "err"; "yourummm, err" I am not sure what to call it------I have it ----your accusatory carping.
Sympathetically because, I have never actually experienced the kind of emotional stress, that your posts, which are directed at me indicate that you must be suffering, although I have seen and been emotionally touched by the results of the resulting tantrums when prepubescent immature children show similar symptoms. Now there is this one child, the 10 year old son of a friend, he is very artistic, he can single line pencil draw Micky Mouse with his eyes closed, when he feels "got at", Austin, you can't imagine what happens, but then--perhaps you can.

Where to start? Lets start with what seems to be your main gripe namely name calling. The following are the main examples of name calling that Steph took from my posts to you.

She could not find any names at all that any of us could construe as anything other than complimentary, in fact Austin I cannot imagine that any person other than a lover receiving so many accolades extolling ones virtues so where is your problem?, what is your complaint? is it just something in your head? if it is why don't you take the cure and just stop writing to the thread.

If you could possibly manage to be liberal and if you can muster up at least a smidgen of objective honesty you will have noticed that every foray that I have taken into the frivolous aspect of this thread has been reactive and never instigative and they all have been responses to rudeness, plain stupidity or derogatory snipes and in your case pure bigotry. I have been around for a long time and I still cannot understand why it is only in the wannabe worlds where people feel that they have superior intellect, feel a need to display their lack of common decency and good manners by, with out any embarrassment at all, attempting to ridicule and disparage other peoples ideas, I can understand it in your case Austin but why, what is the drive that encourages, what one would assume is a reasonably intelligent person to debase themselves in such a way?

This forum offers (potentially) a real opportunity for the exchange of constructive ideas, the world is on the brink of social collapse, I don't know where any of you live but out there in the real world people are sick with worry, scared and panicky of the future, struggling to cope, thousands of do-gooding organisations are on the point of collapse, the jobs that regularly mopped up the youth from the streets are no longer there, how ever one looks at it it is a doomsday scenario and all of the time the space on this forum is used up with silly nit picking, ego boosting cods wallop, you are all grownups (although with some of you I have my doubts) and as such the measure of your culpability for what happens to you and your kin in the near future is dependent upon how you use the opportunities that you recognise, A rule from the Universal Law states that 'any creature is the product of how it responded to its perception of its environment (in the past'). This applies to you your kids your granny and your goldfish, if you are not prepared you will not survive except by luck.

That's a start, Arthur, although your insulting posts can probably no longer be found since the moderators moderated them and contacted you umpteen times, along with most of the responders stating the same in their public posts.

You recently requested that people be civil—and they always were to you; they all merely referenced your demeaning words, but none ever put forth any insults back to you. You ask for what you could not give.

The so-called 'VICTORY' shows that the responders were not 'ignorant' and all that that name-calling you claimed and dumped on them.

That's why your thread continued to go off topic, as it became more about the bad language and then the rehabilitation of Arthur.

Good try, though, picking out the 'regards' stuff instead of you know what. The mods still have the deleted stuff; it doesn't just disappear.

Only 3 commandments were codified into 'law' that was already law long before the time of Moses when humanity itself ostracized coveters (stealers), liars, and killers.

Anyway, I've never seen a thread with such a consensus against the insults. In fact, I don't even see another thread with even one insult. I'll leave it to you to tell all of the various responders about their emotional problems.

One of the best examples of religion as social organizer, according to Binghamton University's Wilson, is early Calvinism. John Calvin rose to prominence in 1536 when, as a theologian and religious reformer, he was recruited to help bring order to the fractious city of Geneva. Mikal, Thank you for your sensitive response to my post.
I have considered that in retrospect of all of the places to post such a thing this forum should not have been it. I forgot my original supposition that perhaps in this forum there seems to be little or no appetite for anything other than just subjective trivialities, as I was warned prior to posting my original proposition by a few people who were more familiar with news groups than I was.

At some point, Mikal, you made reference to my use of the word 'we'. I did mention earlier that I was posting with the support of my 'cohorts', who have been monitoring all of the posts including mine. It started with two friends, the ones who predicted that I would be wasting my time and the daughter of a neighbour, The numbers have now increased to five adults and six 15/16 year old pupils from the local girls school, who are friends of the first girl, Stephany, who took an interest in TQ in the misguided belief that it was an adult science site only to become almost immediately disillusioned and eventually expressing sentiments such as "God help us if these are the people who are determining our future" "These sound like the people who have messed up the world" and the question that caused the most anger was "Why are they being so rude instead of addressing the proposition"? There is non of that 'babes and suckling' stuff here just pure common sense, unfettered logic and unbridled honesty, a great pity that more of the contributors to my thread could not even come close to matching that.

All of these kids are as puzzled as I am as to why the few contributors to this thread, including moderators, were so willing to publically display their bigotry and their lack of common decency and from the adults "What would one expect from people who join such news groups". All of this prompted some very interesting discussions related to, 'it must be fear, loneliness, inferiority, inadequacy or something that prompts some of these people to be on the continual look out for situations to discharge their pent up aggression etc. I had forgotten how wonderfully logical and honest young children, who before they become completely screwed up by "education", are. It was not all as gloomy as the above, there has been a great deal of laughter and fun over Austin but still the puzzle of why he and BK were so determined and encouraged to prevent any discussion concerning my proposal remains.

In one of your posts Mikal, which I do not have to hand, you said that you had tried the three minute 'what do I know test' and that it might be of no importance to me but is of the utmost importance to your self. If by importance to me you meant concern I feel that that is unfair. Please re-read or read my introduction to the Universal Law and I did warn you specifically.

The test was not designed for the likes of you Mikal but for the likes of a particular kind of self styled or actual academic who I did brand at the time of writing as being "overeducated", which I felt was politer than giving the more accurate description of being pompos and arrogant know alls, in spite of their immaturity. The problem is that this particular kind of "academic" develops a psychological imperative to protect the delusion of their academic, or even their intellectual, superiority (which we, the 'ordinary' folk are fully aware are, in reality, only just a load of words which more often than not they are only capable of supporting with such things as tantrums, aggression and rudeness and the like)(if you would like to see this in action you only need to go to any large "scientific" conference) again, we the proletariat, we the realist in this world who have no fawning pretensions of trying to be intellectually superior to anybody often come up against certain individuals who do sycophantelly aspire to be and therefore cow tow to those, who in their ignorance ,they feel are their intellectual superiors, where as more likely than not they are just inferior not having achieved anything nondescripts. (Coincidently it is these kind of sychophants in the form of educationalist and journalists and the such who have done such a brilliant job of bringing to the fore the vital importance to mankind as a whole of understanding that every 22 year old PhD in flat worm study is highly qualified to comment scientifically through the 'media' on every subject from astronomy to zoology)

It is the physical, on the ground, real life consequences caused by the pomposity, the lack of humility, the absences of integrity, intellectual of otherwise of the large numbers of these self deluded 'nondescripts' and the continued production of them and their acolytes which has been the greatest threat to the survival of any form of orderly human life. Mikal these are the people who the test was designed for not for people like you. (for anyone who feels that the above is unfair please consider that it is covered by the catchall phrase "If the cap fits") The reason for the test is simply that if it is (as it was) carried out by an audience and if the result of the test showed to all of the individuals in the audience how little they all knew it helps to open the mind and in a public situation where people cant hide it curtails the idiocy of hecklers disrupting the lecture. When I first used this test there was a small group of maybe half a dozen who I felt would be trouble, after the test when I pointed out that for thirty years their senses have been in constant operation and yet when having done the test it showed that they knew virtually nothing, at this point the half a dozen got up, cursing "I'm not going to stay here to be call thick" etc, and walked out. (they acted rather like contributers to my thread) Later on, some of the audience that stayed told me that the only reason that those particular students go to the extra curricular lectures is to heckle and cause trouble. (not much difference here either)

I have been lecturing and giving talks on and off for most of my life starting in the 1940's and I have never been treated so rudely and disrespectfully. All of the increasing number of people who I know who have been following my genuine attempt for feedback agree that the credibility of Toe Quest as a forum for serious intelligent debate has been reduced to nil not only by the activity of the supposed moderators but by the unchecked hysteria generated and encouraged by a couple of the contributers.

So Mikal after all of this time and effort and only one person making any reference at all to what I say is a profound proposition is for me a very sad indictment of the intellectual capacity and integrity of most of the contributers that I have had dealings with and I suspect, that after consideration, I will also deem it as a complete waste of my time and effort.

I will also send this to you as a PM because I have no faith that the censors/moderators will not interfere with it.
