    Re: Truth is Timeless

    Hello everyone,

I like the title of this tread but had not come to it because I am of no particular religion, although my Mother saw to my baptism, confirmation and proper religious indoctrination, as she saw fit.

T'would seem like many are seeking the timeless truth among the various threads of this forum.

About the only truths that I have discovered in my wanderings are human nature has evolved but little and the passing of the seasons remain constant, albeit not consistent, lol.

    Regards,

    Labelwench

    Hi Jag and all,

Thank you for your insight which I appreciate. I very much appreciated when you said; " The concealed seed of the human sould is an immortal spirit." Could you say a bit more on the subject. Thank You.

    Yours Cosvis.

    Re: Truth is Timeless

    Hi all,

What is the difference between Scientism and Theism?
Scientism has logic as a central theme.
Theism has god as as a central theme.
Buddhism has-Don't worry. Be as happy in this life as you possibly can be as a central theme.
These are distinctions. I don't see the difference.
All those "isms" are like boxes or spheres of influence that people subscribe to. There is timeless truth in all of them, maybe a lot of B.S. to but who's countin'. They are all little pieces of the truth. Can anyone tell me what the difference is?

    You forgot:

    Science has observation and testing.

'Just saying something' has only this 'authority' of 'just saying'.

    Logic?
Haven't we gone over that before Jags?
Once before you helped define logic, remember?
And now you ask for differences?
Perhaps you should restudy your own work,
    = truly works for me.

    Re: Truth is Timeless

The timeless knows the time... the time does not know the timeless.
All consciousness is in time and to it the timeless appears as unconscious.
Yet, it is what makes consciousness possible.
Light shines in darkness... In light darkness is not visible.
Or you can put it the other way, in the endless ocean of light, clouds of consciousness appear,
    dark and limited,perceivable by contrast...

    simple, yet altogether inexpressible.

    "What time is it?"

    "It is every o'clock."

"Oh, then it's time to get a new clock."

The difference between people and their ideas is..only superficial.

The deeper reality is changeless and as steady as a rock = Timeless Truth < < Absolute Pure Awareness.
