So, Mel, the Earth is real, albeit only a few thousand year real?
May i have this dance?
just don't get me started!

I didn't watch the video you posted. How old did they say they think the earth is?
I saw this show last night, this one is about something that happened 75,000 years ago. Does your show say it's younger or older?

Yes, if we stay with an identity that a thing is equal to itself, which is equal to itself, which is ... then we have a constancy in an object that is described by a "closed" loop in time.
But I think these precise identities don't exist physically, but instead you have something similar to an irrational number like pi is not equal to 3, nor is pi equal to 3.1, nor is pi equal to 3.14 ... and similarly pi!=3!=3.1!=3.14!=...
Of course we could have something approaching a perfect circle with enough physical units, but it's always changed/different from the ideals - objects in space do not move in perfectly straight lines and clocks do not measure off precisely equal units of time (at least none of the clocks we can compare against each other) etc.
The physical world shows an unchanging "perfection" indirectly by showing everything that is not perfect and not stable and things that in many ways paradoxes and impossibilities, except that's not really true unless we try to merge moments in different times (the ball was at A, now the ball is at B - time has passed and one was the past and the other the present - if we merge this past and present, then the ball must be at both A and B, but then it could no longer be able to be the same ball or A and B must have always been the same location or ... etc. there's always some loose end - and maybe that is how time "unravels", trying to find the single thing that existed the entire time without paradox and physical motions are just moving that "loose" end to finally connect it back to itself as a ring and figuratively construct a pathway that never changed, encountered resistance or diverged from a perfect cycle)
