Max....suicide would not be about whether your a fit creature but moreso whether the societal collective cultured the possibility into you.....one must study the work of Emile Durkheim to understand the collective's part in this human dilemma....

Yeah, but looking at it from the viewpoint of the genes, suicide does not serve their purposes.

Awareness and Free Will enable us to bend our lives to do more than just what our genes demand, but there is still a hard logic there.

Max...I do believe we are far more than our genes and looking at it from a larger life perspective...we must have a sense that we fit into society, we must have a sense that we should belong to society....the collective is responsible for drawing its new members into it....there is nothing to say that while doing that drawing in that the collective is in a healthy or unhealthy state. Also the young are highly vulnerable to suicide if it is conditioned into them that life is "fatalistic...."

Suicide in regards to the NA Indian was a matter of aide to the tribe, old people took it apon themselves to stay behind when food was scarce or winters harsh ... "Today is a good day to die!" Chief Dan George so he laid there in the movie on the hill .... till the rain came came and said "guess not" ... and went down to the village again ... hmm food for thought?

    Kind regards Graham

oh PS... the girl mentioned killed herself more along the lines of social entrapment ... ignored as a young woman to needed education as such social issues are predominate over there and extreme flaming in the press to sell to the uneducated. ... "Christian Infidels Plan to Kill Holy people off with Black Hole on the 15th!!" "Eat your favorite food say your payers and bend over to Allah and kiss your butt good by!" ..."Jahad Jahad!!!" jez what next ...

Well, it does seems that some scientists like to keep secrets, not announcing the LHC transformer problem for a week.

Max, maybe the bottom-up of Possibility met the top-down of consciousness and that made everything real (choosing one of the workable 'bottom-ups'), although the implementation could still be holographic. Holograms are still of the real beneath them.

I tried to rob a bank today since I am broke, but a sign on the door said "bankrupt".

Oh, I know that we are more than just a manifestation of our genes, that is why I mentioned our self-awareness.

My cat is aware on a lower level, he knows he exists, he knows I do, where his food and litter box is.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any concept of time though, and his entire universe is the inside of this house. So every day he wakes up and it's the first day of his life.

Yet, if he wasn't neutered before we rescued him, he would still be a slave to his genes and their harsh logic, pass us on, make sure your offspring can pass us on, then die.

Being conscious of this logic, we can subvert it and ignore it even.

I'm technically past my sexual peak, but I haven't produced children yet because I'd prefer to work on other aspects of my life... I still feel the drive though, my girlfriend too, and we practice regularly... >.> but there is no rush because we have that gift of free will.

To consider suicide as an option is technically a victory over your genes programming I guess, but myself, I can't imagine any situation where death would be inviting.

I don't think you need an interpretation to describe reality. I think quantum effects as we currently describe them are a misinterpretation actually.

Again though, I feel that quantum mechanical interactions are emergent from a relativistic framework with an adjusted "optimal" rate of time.

Not a victory, a loss ... for all those that came before you you represent.

dishonorable to then as you represent there immortality manifested.

Oh, we're not trying to have kids just yet, I'm only 28. I still have some foundations that I'd like to get layed down better first.

Yeah, suicide is pretty selfish, genes are too though, which is why I said it was kind of a victory over their logic.

Genes kill you after you've had a chance to pass them on.

    Re: LHC (Large Hadron Collider)

Max....suicide has nothing to do with selfishness....I would stress again you would need to study Emile Durkheim, Carl Jung, throw in a little bit of Paulo Freire and undertake a study into sociology to understand the human dilemma of suicide...it is alot more complicated than you think....
