null cone - 08-07-2006, 02:05 PM

The unit of spacetime could simply be called the null cone. Each local singular null cone has an axis which also serves as its time axis pointing toward the future. A group of null cones with axes pointing in different directions composed the bulk of matter and energy. Within each group it is possible for pairs of axes pointing exactly in opposite directions. Equal numbers become bosons, unequal becomes fermions. Furthermore, these null cones satisfy the following 5 hyperbolic properties of curved surfaces having negative curvatures.
  • An infinite number of parallel lines can be drawn through a point not on a given line.
  • Interior angles of a triangle sum to less than 180°. As the area of the triangle approaches zero, the angle sum approaches 180°. There exist a maximum area for triangles and as the area approaches the maximum, the angle sum approaches zero.
  • The circular ratio of circumference to radius is greater than 2p.
  • No similar figures of different areas exist.
  • Straight lines extend to infinity in both directions.

Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²

Thanks Antonio, what I wonder is within the cone?what force does it exert!
and has it spin like a vortex!

kind regards michael.

Within each null cone is a vertex representing an event (the now) separating the past and the future. The motion of this vertex in spacetime is a worldline. If a worldline closed in on itself, then it is the same as a light cone where time stops.

We should hope and pray then Antonio, that aworldline does not close in
on itself!Instead of a nice day!It would be the last day?

regards michael.

A closed worldline is a pure light cone surface and there the movement of time stops, everything within the surface of a lightcone travels at light speed and it also lives forever.

Re: null cone - 08-20-2006, 02:57 AM

The space time cone in 'mest' theory is different than its normal perception. It is not like an ice-cream cone. It is more like a cone made by two circular bangles kept touching each other. To better understand, one must visalise a three dimensional model. The bangles can be smaller as rings or can be as big as this universe. The wide mouth of the cone points to the large scale infinity. To reach an infinite point it has to bend along a circle . Thats what we say ,space-time curvature owing to the force of gravity. But as evident from this model ,a curved space-time has to reach to the point it started from. For the sake of convenience, we were taking a starting point of this cone. It actually starts from quantum infinity , which is somewhere in the region of meeting point of the bangle. The bangle though seen touching each other, in terms of quantam mechanics, can never meet. That is the small scale infinity, the quantum infinity. And there lies the key to the TOE.
