Re: a different 'time does not exist' topic

The Time thing is crystal clear memory
The soul/psyche is a memory coil

There are four elements here; time, memory and psyche/dream

Dreams are emotionally charged pictorial language that carries meaning.
Dreams have the texture of images; it is in the nature of the psyche to carry subliminal meaning. Dreams can make a very deep impression on us because the symbol/image content expresses emotional energy. Dream language has so much psychic energy we are forced to pay attention to it.

Dreams are capable of warning us about experiences along the course of our lives, which will be uncomfortable. Dreams may announce certain situations long before they happen—(Carl Jung, Man and His Symbols)

These warnings or announcements Jung saw as coming from ‘a deeper, instinctive strata of the human psyche and the somatic basis of psychic phenomenon.’ If dream language is a ‘crisis slowly building in your own life it is not ‘pre-cognition’ it is ‘unconscious history working step by step through one’s life to become conscious. Your dream was about ‘others not yet born’ the future—retrieving more subtle information in this instinctive stratum of the psyche—this is ‘pre-cognition.’

Jung did not see this as ‘memory’ but if the content of ‘emotional energy’ makes an impression on your own emotional strata, this is ‘memory’ and can be recalled to your consciousness.

You stated your potential for ‘pre-cognition’ was evident in your childhood. This seems a natural early state of ‘unfolding consciousness united with this instinctive stratum of the human psyche.’ It is normal in the ‘civilizing process’ that the consequence is to end up with ‘consciousness divided from this instinctive strata of the human psyche—so did your early, young state protect you in some sense from exposure to influence where other people stimulate, depress or distract consciousness as it unfolds??

In dreams we have no sense of time so from Jung’s statement above it seems evident we can receive information about the ‘future.’ It seems evident we do not completely understand time.
You stated your weirdest dream was about ‘suicide’—this in dreams is iconic information that is historical cultural time and universal information because the phenomenon of suicide has been with man through recorded time, ages and history.

Maybe this will help you understand….
‘The unconscious is the ‘unwritten history’ of mankind from time unrecorded. Rational formula may satisfy the present and the immediate past, but not the experience of mankind as a whole.’—Carl Jung, The Problem of the Fourth

The unconscious is this ‘instinctive strata of the human psyche’—it seems that some of what is there in symbolic content is what has not yet happened—when it happens, it becomes a person’s part in history.

Re: a different 'time does not exist' topic

thank you for all this great info!!!

question: is the C. Jung book u mentioned detailed & informative enough that perhaps I should get a copy?

re: your question- I don't think it was a matter of protecting me from negative influences as much as those influences not being present... it was more or less along the line of "you are who you are- o.k.," or "you have opinions- express them," & while I don't know if that's kinda odd or not it certainly is in comparison to what most people relate about their childhoods & growing-up years...

also, my late aunt, who I was closer to than anyone else in my family/relatives, somehow picked up on this- using words like 'clairvoyant" "ESP," etc. to describe me when I was a young child. I honestly didn't pay much attention at the time.

Re: a different 'time does not exist' topic

Your quite welcome SilverRose and I am only too happy to share any kind of info that is beneficial to understanding.

Yes Carl Jung's work is informative. I have studied Jung for many years now and of course was in pursuit of understanding my own psychic experiences. I would have to say his model of the mind is unique and holistic and could be because he studied his own experience. I think Man and His Symbols would be a good book for you and may enable alot of self-understanding.
