Mehaba? That sounds like Chinese: Ni hao ma? Means how are you? Now, I have my first turkish word in my vocabulary. Thanks.

I keep wondering if all languages come from one fundamental speaking tongue?

I think so, the word Sam-u-rai in Macedonian means alone in heaven/paradise. The Japanese warrior has a similar concept. My favorite word is Buddha in Macedonian, it means to literally wake up from sleep.

It can become a lucrative career to write a book about the origin of every word in a language and its connection to other languages. But Personally, I wont want to do it. I would rather a book about proving the twin prime conjecture or the Goldbach conjecture.

I just finished an audio course (A lecture series) on the history of the human language. I liked it so much, I listened to it twice (I drive an hour to work so it was easy to schedule the time in the car)
Anyway....yes. It appears that all languages are rooted to the click languages of southern africa. There are still some clicks present (residual clicks) in some languages in central and southern africa...and oddly enough, you can still hear them in some french pronunciations.
It's pretty tough to track back to the beginning though. The fact is....a group of people could leave a community and set up housekeeping 30 miles away, and be speaking so differently after 2 generations, that they would not understand the people from the community they came from
Alternatively, could that also originate from a father tonque?

I would wager on spital tongues.
