    Measuring consciousness

How can we measure consciousness? Is it measured by time? The computer language called PROLOG uses logic and its operators are not '+', '-', 'x', or '/'. but logical operator of 'true' or 'false' for ordinal numbers of first, second, third, etc. as what a time sequence would indicate.
Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c²

Many thanks for this thread starter my friend,my guess would be that it would seem well nigh impossible to measure that which seems to have no beginning or end,I will be very interested in what you have to say on this.

    kindest regards michael.

It begins with one's cognitive reasoning and it ends when this reasoning cease to exist. However, other personal subjective reasonings go on and on.

The link to PROLOG as a computer language programming is the following

    Re: Measuring consciousness

It is impossible to measure consciousness but there are methods to test its presence in computers or other animals by using their reaction and behavior to see if they pass these tests and thus showing signs of consciousness.

    --We are all ONE consciousness--
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

I agree mainly because we are trapped in the same time frame of reference. But when I am asleep there is no way I can prove my own existence but somebody else seeing me sleeping would know that I exist. Looking at a dead person, we agree that he or she existed at one time but now separated from our joint time reference. So, in a way, we can measure consciousness by just looking at or hearing or a more proper word is sensing the ticking of each time interval.

    Re: Measuring consciousness

The unit for measuring consciousness is the quantum of time. This is the unit circle whose existence can only be proved by using arguments derived from the theory of limits. See thread on the math forum on quadratrix of Hippias.

Prehaps then we should adopt a theory of no limits?

There is such a theory but it is known as a theory of divergence or also known as Gauss theorem or divergence theorem.

Divergence now thats more like it,sounds a interesting theory.
