Re: String Theory: Right or Wrong?

Lets be patient. There is an experiment that is getting underway regarding the tug of gravity on different matter. This will give us a pure insight into whether we can consider string theory at all. On the face of it string theory looks like fiction..

It's an insult to (fading) scientific method, especially considering the fact that it's been around for three decades. (Incidentally, Prof. Hawking just did a 180o on black holes, as of 2004.) Refer

Will string theory eventually be the right approach or will it not be?

    I don't know.

    Dear David Maes:
String theory is great science if you enjoy enthusiastically bubbling fiction.

(Where is Lewis Carroll when his greatest opportunity to spin a fine yarn has elegantly erupted in stringently spun out numbers?)

    Best regards.

Re: String Theory: Right or Wrong?

I know I needed strings, ( 1st dimension ) to make the quarks, ( 2nd dimension ) to make the protons and neutrons, ( 3rd dimension ), in my theory.

    Please see:
Once there you will have to use the pdf link.

If you haven't viewed my Idea yet, I think you will find it interesting.

    Best to all,

Re: String Theory: Right or Wrong?

I like the idea that everything has motion, be it a vibration of more or less.

Energy equals mass and mass equals motion unless there is a motionless state of mass without energy.

    Is there?

If everything is in the energy state of motion, then it is safe to say: the vibration of motion more or less exists in all mass or everything.

    String theory?

    Is everything a vibrating string?

    I don't know.

Re: String Theory: Right or Wrong?

    Dear MJA;

I like the fact that everything has vibrations and motion. I can't imagine motionless mass, I think strings, quarks, protons, you, earth, universe, all have vibrations and movement.

I believe you and I have movement and dance and music within us.

Is everything a vibrating string? I needed 3 to make the 3 quarks, a 3 ring circus.
    But who really knows?

I like my model because it suggest the proton is eternal and will be perpetually moving towards it complementary opposite and eternally vibrating.

    Best to all,

    Pat

Re: String Theory: Right or Wrong?

String theory uses dimensions which can not be objectively confirmed. Thus it is little better than numerology.

They should try to solve the problems of physics in the 4 dimensions we can verify.

Well Pat, I’m surprised that you and Mikey have realized the importance of “Absolute Motion”. Maybe you should review my blog!
