  • Set aside time each day to study the material. You should really sit down at a desk with a pen, highlighter, graph paper, and a soda. Don't just read the book, but study the book. Write in the book. Highlight passages in the book that you want to remember. Take notes as you read the book.

  • As you come across material that triggers interesting thoughts, open a discussion thread to share your thoughts with others. Let's get some traffic flowing into these forums. One way to remember new ideas, new concepts, etc. is by discussing with others. We can build on each others knowledge and perspective while studying the same material.

  • If you don't understand the material or you are confused, open a discussion thread so others can help you out. Some of the physics and philosophy books out there are just confusing. Ever read a book that you know is a great book but you just don't get it, or you get stuck on a section or idea. Let's use the study hall to work through these parts together. That way we all come to a better understanding.

  • When you are finished reading the book and participating in discussions, take the Quize. Your successful completion of the quize with a passing grade allows you to graduate. The idea of the quize is to put a little pressure on you to make you put more effort in studying the material. It's also a fun thing to do to test your knowledge and try to compete with others.

  • Your study hall graduation certificate will be emailed to you and displayed at ToeQuest for others to see. Print this out, frame it, and hang it on your wall. Your online certificate will also be available for others to admire over the Internet.
