The idea created by Benjamin Franklin and Columb changed our perspective of the elementary particle since it attributed a charge to a particle, Now we know that a particle has two quantities that is a charge and mass. But will columb ideas give us the charge on the photon, since it is massless. Also in e/m experiments ,variations of e/m with speed of a particle are normally taken as an indication that the mass has changed with speed, why is it not possible that the charge varies with speed.Again can columb law explain particles with zero charge like Nuetrons. The development of the theory of every thing needs a force between the nuetrons since they are massless. from bfancis
