Hi everyone; I believe any T.O.E. would have to include probability theory. I know Uncle Albert wasn't big on God playing dice, but the theory makes randomness predictible in large numbers. Witness Las Vegas. Craps have a a very predictible pattern for the numbers 2 through 12. Also physics predicts a degree of freedom and I guess there is asymptotic freedom within the quarks. This also translates to my freedom, I predict I'll be right here in this galaxy til I die and probably right here on good old terra firma. But which city, that is my degree of freedom. My arms length, thats my personal freedom. So I'm glad we have this uncertainty, you may be able to predict my position or my momentum, but not both. And I don't think you'll ever be able to do that regardless of the theory. Best to all; Profpat |
