We can even see examples of it here, on this website! So, to sum up: perhaps "the root of all evil" is the perception of "otherness," in a nutshell ME and YOU, US and THEM.

Knowledge is power so to speak ..power abused can lead to self centered desires possession and corruption and evil.

Knowledge belongs to no-one for it is one with the knowing.
Knowledge seized or exploited for ones own selfish purposes
maybe abused and used for the wrong reasons.
Knowledge is empowering.
Knowledge used wisely and for the good of the Whole World is ok.
In reality.
All there is ..IS this eternal NOW
In this only instant, moment to moment reality, knowledge is always fresh and new.
When the assumed 'separate self' applies in-coming knowledge it has already past and gone in the flow.
When we are claiming we own knowledge,
What we are actually doing is re-creating it via the individual's conceptual overlay, memory.
This knowledge is not true knowledge it has become a lie.
It has become a story 'appearing' IN this Ever Eternal Present-ness.
Although Knowledge on demand is OK.
It serves it's purpose, it is handy so to speak.
Real truth however only ever appears in this Immediate Now moment.

Meanwhile it is only through our natural ordinary functional senses that all knowledge becomes available to us, .. in abundance.
Otherwise all of nature including the human brain, is in a natural state
of not-knowing , until senses demand it, sensing through our senses,
and then instantly re-cognizing data, knowledge [one with the knowing]

Let's remember the natural state of nature is of no-mind--not knowing.
Every-thing in nature is in a state of constant flux.
It knows without knowing, In the IMMEDIACY of the moment.
What happened a second ago no longer has any reality.
Nature is in a perpetual state of un-knowning ever un-changed.
Only ''appearing'' to change. [one with the knowing]
Surprising even itself and revealing itself briefly and then disappearing almost instantaneously.

I'm not so sure knowledge is the culprit here because not all knowledge is evil, it has the "potential" for good or evil but, it waht is done with the knowledge that all judgement's rest, so maybe it's the "will" of the apparent individual who assumes knowledge and in which manner it is "applied" as to whether it is "evil" or not?

When Awareness (Father) Knows(will) Sensation (Mother) Consciousness (son/Sun/Relative) is born.

Latent Potential Energy, Shifts (When the Bough Breaks), manifests/ becomes apparent ( A Parent) to an Off Spring.

Yes! I would say ...It is cold around the periphery.

If we are not accepting of this moment, and we are living in the imaginary past or future.
We are unconsciously controlling events that are beyond our control.
If however we surrender our apparent sense of 'separateness'
We come together as one,and what seemed to be hidden is revealed to us. We will no longer feel ice-olated
And evil will be relinquished.
