The fruit was the bauble...which would give her what her ambiguous heart desired.
Reenforced by speculation and/or contemplation... entertaining what might be called the concept of "free will"...or choice... Conceptual overlay. Oh dear! Quote:

Let us say the evil wolfe is the ego/lower personality...the good wolf is the higher self....a battle ensues within...transcendence.."Cain Kills Able" the higher self dissolves down around the lower self...

The "deliberation"...is the contemplation and or second thought altering what was intuitively inheerently known as "God's Word" "Do Not eat from Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. She entertained her "self", gave audience... to the serpent...in the 'audit'orium[garden] of her mind. The thought gave rise too...or motion to...the action...She enlivened it...Be and it shall BE.
Thought begets words, beget deeds, begets habits, begets behaviour, begets character, begets destiny...begets "His" story...&"Her"essay... Quote:

peace Mikal | Sorry if I gave the impression that Eve was an allegory for Evil.......She is firstly to me a character with a very significant role in a human Drama.
You say she reached for intelligence - what gives you that idea? Adam and Eve are shown to be "intelligent and rational" before the incident. And Eve is shown to form a cogent argument justifying eating from the tree: Quote:
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." (remember this is a lier speaking)
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
|
Access Eve's accessment of the tree in view of the prohabition and the warning that they will be condemed (original Hebrew translation) if they eat it....... | |

Yes you will surely die Tina...its called 'transcendence' its raising the serpent power up the spine to open the eye of the mind...the 3rd eye...the minds eye...seeing good and evil before your very eyes...realizations, awareness..understanding the world and culture you are in..knowing your both a physical and spiritual being.....
