Jeff
Not that I am vegetarian but can you conceive of a world where humans were purly herbivours - even in the bible (for those interested) all creation was herbiverous before the Fall.

I fail to get the connection between Evil and the need to consume food Could you justify this claim better - PLEASE!

Tina, thanks for the warm welcome.

"good" and "bad" aren't these just words we associate with events that cause two different kinds of sensations in our mind? So how do we say that the same sensations
are not perceived by other organisms? I have seen street dogs furiously chasing
vehicles for many days after their young ones have been run over. May be they too
have the sensation of "good" and "bad" created in their mind. So instead of "humans",
we may now say "the mind" caused "evil" to exist. But then isn't it the mind that
created everything? isn't "existance" always "with respect to" the "perceiver"?

Any physicists out there? perhaps you can give us some ideas on the role of the "perceiver" in some of the latest findings about what the universe is made up of?

Ravi,

I'll respond fully to your last post tomorrow but in the meantime don't call in the Physicists - OMG not the Physicists

The spiritist defines evil from emotional judgements. The scientist defines evil from the laws passed. I'll take a truly just liberty, but where do we find such a greater good for all...? Can we truly define, create and pass really just laws, for all...? I say we can, but will the world awake, to do so...?

melanie..

Made absolutely no sense to me, sweetness, but then we are all here to try and understand ourselves, I think. 'Mirrors', and all that, eh? If you are happy with it, that's fine, but I wouldn't go passing it off as 'gospel', if I were you!

People look after the things they have affection for. It is thus essential that we learn to have affection for the planet that sustains us.

"The sense of threat from every quarter of what is known as the Establishment – which is to say, of modern civilization – is not altogether a put-on or an act for many of these young folk, but an actual condition of soul. The break-off is real, and what is being bombed and blown up outside are actual symbols of interior fears." - Joseph Campbell

"Can we truly define, create and pass really just laws, for all...?"

Bear witness to the laws of the land at hand, Lloyd. Truly defined, created, passed, and thought to be just laws for all.

I think it is, yes, but in the unfunny sort of way, Lloyd. The world will never be fixed regardless of the laws being implemented. Primarily because man is fubar.

The eternal pessimist commits his own suicide... May all the pessimists die off, so we can fix the world...
