I can't tell you exactly what he is thinking but by mastering the evil tool (which is deception in most cases), you use their deceit as a weapon against them. "So be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." An honest person can not lie, a deceitful person is full of lies so a dove will make the lies come true for the serpent.

What is needed is a 'Cunning' rather than deception to out-smart the serpent - but It does seem true that doves make the lies come true for serpents. This point of yours will be very relevant when forum question is answered.

But have to sign off soon - bed time in Oz.

we all have the roots of evil in our selves and some times that root will or has to sprout and grow but its how you prune your new growth that counts

Yeah, sensible ethical laws, not foolish religious tenets... That's the trouble, people thinking those simple 10 rules, suffice to make a valid law system___Nothing could be further from the truth, and much of what is bad about our world, is due to these faulty foundations of legal systems... Just think about, "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." What if I want to be killed, by others...? Should I kill others, so I will be killed by others...? I think sensible laws, take a bit more complexity of sound thought...

If there is a chance that an innocent individual can be prosecuted and maybe even electrocuted, and a chance that a cold-blooded killer can be set free to kill again, what ethical laws could be implemented to prevent such cases, Lloyd. It seems that the perfect set of laws is a type of dreaming in color.

The old biblical attrocities were based on ideals of order and perfection, with the killing off of folks who would not abide by certain laws advocated in certain cultural judicial systems. Moses killed off hundreds of folks, as is said, just for not standing on his side.

I don't think we can fix the world, but we can fix our attitude towards its injustice.

I understand your argument here. But we have well established that in the Judeo/Christian & Muslim systems ideas of good/bad are highly flawed.

I still ask though - assuming all are under the sensible ethical laws - what will ensure compliance if people do not get their emotions under control.

Oh dear - we have corrupted you already! But thank you for your self-portrait! It sort of gained a few bits when posted - but I can see the original version in text box as I type this response.

I agree that the roots of Evil are in ourselves (the human in general) but where are they actually located in us - I'm looking for something concrete we can examine.
