The main question of why the ToE is needed is lost in this thread. ToE in my mind will help us in:

1) Preserving the earth
2) Elevating the energy crisis
3) Looking at other places where we can have a future habitat
4) Do away with all the misconceptions of humanity and hence help humanity progress...

Any other ideas??

In essense it is felt that ToE will remove all obstacles from our path. But I feel that this will bring up newer questions and pose more challanges towards humanity...

Science never stops MJA. With a ToE more challanges will come up to implement the ToE in real life.
