Well, Dip, as long as you see it as a scripted comedy/adventure/drama, you might turn out half OK. I will pray for you.

I actually love the fact that the wrestlers sometimes discuss their personal life with each other when they are fighting in the ring. Still they make the bout seem pretty real..

Yes, and I'm sure they do get injuries and also get carried away into some real anger, but some of their moves, if real, seem like they could kill a person.

Re: Why is the toe needed?

    SillySally,
You ask: this TOE, what is it good for? Why TOE ? Why bother ?

And of course, such an enigmatic piece of information, almost on the edge of esoteric or mystique thinking, might look like something obsolete, something way off practical use, way of every day life problems, and way off the global problems we face today: energy-crisis, climate-crisis, water-crisis, financial crisis and what have you.

But to me TOE has to do with self knowledge and world knowledge and enhancing our ability to be in this universe, at least on this planet, in this nature. Just look at what David Bohm, distinguished thinker and former associate of Albert Einstein says on the subject:

"... ratio is a form of insight in the essence of all things. When man lets himself lead by this insight, his world view is clear and he is able to act orderly and live in harmony."
David Bohm, Heelheid en de impliciete orde [Wholeness and the Implicate Order], Lemniscaat, Rotterdam, 1980, p. 33.
The concord and the discord and out of that the fairest harmony - Heraclitus (http://aosbenm.nl)

    Why TOE is needed?

This is a good question. I agree with those who said it is not needed. I have an analogy for this. You can build a house with just hand tools or you can build a house with modern electrical tools. The main result is the same (you have a house). The different is the texture, quality, time, effort..etc.. To me, to live a life is to enjoy the experience of life (spiritually). The physical reality is just a tool to make a better experience. We do not have to drive cars or use byproduct of oil to survive. It is our desire and standard that create complicated situations and needs. Therefore, it pushes us to develope tools to meet our standard. The current situation is the result of our build up ignorance so the only real bailout is a break through in theory (TOE).

Re: Why is the toe needed?

About 50000 years ago, people lived in caves, why? Because they did not have the knowhow or the tools to build a RCC house. What would you prefer? Living in a cave or a RCC building? Dont you think the knowledge has evolved? The knowledge itself is taking us towards a TOE..
