    Hi Antonio;

Goethe thought the double entry system was a great idea and I agree. Instead of positive and negative we use debits and credits. Debits have to equal credits and we have balance. We have stocks ( position ) and flows ( movement ). We have a closed system.

Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe wrote about double-entry accounting in 1796:
"Double-entry bookkeeping is one of the most beautiful discoveries of the human spirit… It came from the same spirit which produced the systems of Galileo and Newton and the subject matter of modern physics and chemistry. By the same means, it organizes perceptions into a system, and one can characterize it as the first Cosmos constructed purely on the basis of mechanistic thought… Without too much difficulty, we can recognize in double-entry bookkeeping the idea of gravitation, or the circulation of the blood and of the conservation of matter."

It is representational of reality. It is a concept, and an idea. A very good idea.

    Best,

    Pat

    Science: Outside, objective, extrinsic.

    Mind: Inside, subjective, intrinsic.

    Neutral State: ?

    — Extrinsic Shadow, Intrinsic 'Light' —

Physics, sometimes indirect, can often be an
    Immaterial science of math-shadows,
While introspection, still a fogged notion,
    Is but a second-hand observation.

What is neither physics nor thought?

What is it that is “there as it is”?

    LOL. Thats cooking the books.

    Hi Antonio;

The shepherds used a single entry system.

The double entry system works likes this.

If I put $100 into my firms bank account I debit cash to show that cash increased and I credit my capital account to show my equity in the firm increased.

In other words we show not only what we got but where it came from.

I'm sorry to have really strayed from your topic Tina.

    Best,

    Pat

That sounds like a FIFO, first in first out or LILO last in last out?

Not OFF Topic - but right ON Pat....the Accountant must juggle the dynamic of +/-/0 ($) and in Double Entry always maintain Equilibrium.

Re: Challenge: A Protheory Based Question

    Name anything that can be
    explained or answered
WITHOUT the dynamics between the concepts of Positive - Negative - Neutral.

It's not as easy as it sounds!
    ''A MIRAGE''

IS A NAME WITHOUT A FORM.

    Look within for origin

    Look without for creation

Look and see both ways simultaneously

    Origin and creation are one

    This emptiness that is totality

    is also bliss and wonder.
