An interesting post, Mikal, and the G20 Summit of this weekend was subjected to plenty of criticism from the bits that I caught via CBC radio and TV.

I would only add to your above comment regarding insidious intention, that perhaps far more persons are guilty of calculated inattention to details that pertain to greater orders than themselves, which if all were more observant and engaged would make the conditions of society more difficult for those with insidious intent to operate within.

We all have opportunity to be part of the problem or part of the solution, yet in my observations on an admittedly very tiny scale, I observe that there are too many who wish to have a share of the cream but have no desire to tend to the source of their benefit.

This new reality in the world, coupled with the fact that the world’s population has never been so vast, presents a challenge to elites seeking to dominate people all over the world who are aware and awakened to the realities of social inequality, war, poverty, exploitation, disrespect, imperialism and domination. This directly implies that these populations will be significantly more challenging to control: economically, politically, socially, psychologically and spiritually. Let us remember two things. First of all this global, political, social awakening is happening in spurts, for example if you are in Africa and you see the suppression of the people in Afghanistan, it is creating an external political realization and an internal psychological change and realization because it involves the potential to become involved in comparison and analysis of one’s own situation which results in conscious realizations.

Also let us not assume that everyone has the economic advantage to own a computer for the obtaining of mass communicated knowledge sharing.

I would also comment that the corporationally owned media did make promises to be discreet for forty years thereby making it very possible and advantageous for insidious group maneuvering which did allow ‘social engineering’ to be carried out at a level well beyond the comprehension of the average collective mass.
I do believe the goings on at the G-20 event rather confused the reality and the truth as to who is contributing to the problem and who to the solution.

There are an incredible number of individuals and organizations endeavoring to manipulate us for select purpose of gain, at any period in our life, from the sibling rivalry of one's own children to employment offers from competitors, through social interest or political groups seeking our support or endorsement, to name just a few of the most obvious.

The most difficult thought to ponder, IMO, is whether any decision one is contemplating, is truly of one's own source and volition.

When it comes to 'manipulation' I think we are talking here on two different levels. Our siblings manipulate us for their own security reasons. Employment is full of manipulation because the ideology of 'managing' has become powerful in organizations, it furthers the old school mentality...'stop and go on command' and assumes we have never risen above that.
Political/Social manipulation has to do with larger forces we are just now becoming aware of for example how the state of the economy affects our jobs, professions and livilihoods thereby affecting our survival and wellbeing. This is manipulation on a grand scale...

IMHO...if you can think outside the collective mind and make decisions outside of that mindset your decisions are arising from your own source and volition.

Last weekend was a good litmus test as to how close we are to a World Government. From here on in its stay alert!!!!

Perhaps not, Mikal, as I quite comprehend the level of manipulation that you are speaking to, and my simple examples were designed to demonstrate that we become conditioned to both manipulating and being manipulated from an early age.

For the most part, we are a 'herd' species, and herds are managed through interactions which could also be deemed manipulation.

Interesting that you defended the manipulation of siblings and offspring, and explained employment and social/political manipulation as being somehow different than the larger scale which you are speaking to.

For my part, I see them all as being not unlike, and serving similar purpose, that being that advancement of one or some, over the interests of others.

With the greatest respect, I would point out, that the majority of posters at this forum, endeavor to 'persuade' or otherwise manipulate other posters to their own way of thinking, or theory which they are the proponent of.

Having worked with NGO's, and in an advisory capacity to local and regional government, the private sector and now corporate retail for a second time, manipulation is the game played by all, and the only variant I can observe is the number of players at the various levels.

I do appreciate the concern you bring forward that most have no understanding of the far reaching implications of manipulation arising from those various agencies within our society which we have been conditioned to trust, and that the true decision making powers are not what most would believe them to be.

Even when making decisions which fall outside of the collective mindset, I attempt to be analytical in understanding why I (and others) make the choices we do.

Oh I am not defending sibling manipulation as much as I am pointing out that it is part and parcel of the hidden dynamics in the core of an integrated, enmeshed group of individuals. We can in the long-run forgive our family manipulation as it is the only social institution that ensures and unconditionally furthers the certainty that we shall be ‘unique individuals.”

The manipulation in the workforce which comes through making ‘managing’ very important, comes with the origins of corporatism and the motivation to have a ‘stable managerial hierarchy’ to ‘manage’ those whom they would like to be unthinking entities. A managed, unthinking society is one that is socially lead and politically passive; that of course being a present objective of the social and political movement bearing down on us.

Likewise with the greatest respect I tell you honestly and humbly that I am not here to persuade or manipulate anybody’s way of thinking to mine and yes I do come from a grave sense of concern and can assure you that concern is kind and wishes to hurt nobody.


We are after all….all in this together!

The way I see it, the world is ending as we know it inch by inch, day by day. The little changes that happen each day can only make us go forward. There's no time to dwell on the past or you could get caught in the rut. And by the time we look back and reflect, we find out that, hey, the world has, in a way, ended. But the good news is that, a new one has started and we can try to make it better.

With 2012 looming in the not too distant now and international debt crisis that is wiping billions of dollars of of stocks,Africa in the grip of widespread famine,with millions dying of starvation,while we in the west are bloated on comsumption and an epedemic of obesity is it any wonder that the Earth (being a living thing) has decided its time to clear out some of these parasites that our sucking the life blood out of me??
