Do you think?
OR
Are you being thought?
I think I am a thought.
Reminiscent of Descartes,
who when he was in a bar
was asked by the barman
"would you like another?"
To which Rene replied,
"I think not"
and promptly disappeared!
It's the impersonal I who speaks through every personal I.
It seems to me that in effect the OP asks whether the world exists inside or outside of our minds. It's not an easy question to answer.

Hi Austin.
I forgot about this thread.Your post made me laugh, about the dentist.
Pain is not easy to transcend, although not impossible, the trick is not to struggle with it, but to relax into it, that way its more bearable.
As for the transcendental realm, being able to transcend the 'individual self' out of existence came natural to me, have you ever tried it?
And what about you PeteJ have you tried it?
I feel like I keep repeating myself, wait a minute i do keep repeating myself, but hey, there's nothing else to talk about is there?....![]()
Acts 17:28
New International Version (NIV)
28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[a] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We' are his offspring.

Melanie, yes, have tried and still trying. And I know what you mean about there being not much else to talk about.
Some interesting folk around here by the look of it.
