Energy, Quantum Mechanics and Gravitation Paper

A new short paper was released today in which Dr. Mayer postulates that if we restrict the phase velocity of de Broglie waves to the speed of light, rather than faster than light speed, then the superposition of these waves around a mass composed of a large number of particles creates a gravitational field. He proposes an experiment that would test this hypothesis. The need for gravitons is abandoned. If this theory is correct gravity may be able to be controlled in the future, which leads to all sorts of practical applications.

Would we then be able to escape this solarsystem
with some form of anti-gravity device then!

    kind regards michael.

This is great news, Waterford. Is the paper available anywhere on the web?

It's hard to get what you mean here. If and only if the phase velocity of de Brogile waves is equal to the speed of light, then the gravitational field is produced (around a mass). OK, but when you say 'mass composed of a large number of particles' do you mean particles of mass, or mass of several matter particles? These two completely different explanations. If it's particles of mass, then what are there properties? Also, what would be the nature of the gravitational field?

What is this experiment, if you can explain? If you have a link with the paper, then you don't have to explain.

I like the abandon of gravitons. But I don't like the idea of having particles for mass. I believe thought, that it would be incredible to be able to control gravity, having seen how the understanding of electricity, magnetism and light has lead to so many things, it is unimaginable for us to think what things we could develop with the control of gravity and de Brogile waves on mass!

Then the crew will need to go into suspended hibernation for thatperiod to conserve water and food.

    Cool

I also like the idea of abandoning gravitons. Please forward a link to the paper!

    Cool Good paper!

REally interesting paper! A lot of it was over my head but 2 things stood out: 1. current notions of gravity are incorrect 2. temperature may affect gravity. The latter point makes intrinsic sense to me. It seems there is still some difficulty with wave/particle duality that the paper almost raises and then doesn't. Too bad, I think he is on the right track!

Yep, it was the best paper if read in months.

The relationship temperature-gravity should be looked at together with the relationship temperature-magnetism. This is because temperature is heat and heat is quantum's kinetic energy, so motion would link magnetism and gravity.
