There was no day so rare as one in February, especially the last day of the month, and so this was chosen for the Great Convergence to begin in the form of the ‘Gathering of Minds’, a mind being a terrible thing to waste (and a waist a terrible thing to mind).

Austin and Tarina sat down for dinner.

There was a stage in the Chateau’s dining room and Cirque Du Soleil came out to perform some amazing acrobatics to some entrancing music, some of the singing being in English and some in French. Although English was mostly frowned upon in Quebec in public, Cirque could do as it wished:

Not only does an electron or a photon have a wave function, showing that its potential being is everywhere but is nowhere anywhere real in particular, but so does any possible construct, such as a tree, even the entire universe.

Once the wave function collapses from a conscious observation, the entity is real-ized and actual-ized and its remains remain as established and real. Not only that, but, since all such potentials are entangled and connected as everything, all is affected and thus gains its real being as well.

Before there were conscious minds, all simply was, in the all-at-once suppositional realm of the potentially possible, the state of the quantum, the in-between, neither here nor there, being neither nothing nor something.

In this state of the evolution of all possible universes, this universal wave function continued on as it ever had, finally forming a universe in which consciousness appeared, bringing this particular and well-suited cosmos into reality. Thus, we look back to see that it was all of such makings that it could lead to us. We are the universe itself finding the way to know itself. We belong to it; it belongs to us.

As such, we humans mirror and recapitulate all this evolution while in the womb, racing through the stages through which life evolved. During this nine months and even beyond that, we move from mindlessness to shadowy awareness to consciousness of the world around us onto consciousness of the self and even being conscious of consciousness itself.

For the first two and one-half years of life, the inexplicable holistic world is experienced less and less holistically as one discovers the bounds of discrete objects.

The holistic right brain remains, of course, for us to take in the overall view, while the detailed left brain is there to recognize the relationships between objects. As such so is the universe, since we formed in this image.

So, then, this gives us a clue to the nature of he universe. Seeing that the brain is divided into two “brains”, really hemispheres, each with their own characteristic mode of thought, that can communicate with each other, means that we are looking very deeply into the way that reality itself is constructed.

The two complimentary aspects to the cosmos are absolutely essential, one being the whole: the indivisible, continuous fluid entity, the other being the interrelationships of parts. Each cannot appear at the same time, but the Yin gives way to Yang and then back to Yin, and so one, the rounded life of the mind only continuing to fully roll on if the cycle of this symmetry turns and returns; otherwise, one either gets lost in the details or prematurely halts at the whole.

The holistic brain mode is unfocused, as we see in some people who are unconcerned with details, it building the scene in parallel to form a single entity; whereas, the focused brain side isolates the target of interest and tracks it and its derivatives sequentially, again, possibly a trap of being stuck therein.

Yet, the two sides of the overall brain are connected and so the speed of the juggling can meld them together into the balance portrayed by the Yin-Yang symbol.

Such does the universe go both ways, its parts connected and implicated with everything else in the whole.

During conscious observation, the “hereness” and “nowness” of reality crystalizes and remains, we establishing what that reality is. We define and refine the nature of reality that must itself lead to mind. Counterintuitive? Cyclical? Yes, but it is the universe in dialog with itself. The wave functions and yet the functions wave. So, what paths led us to the light at the end of this dark alley of any idea? Well, “nothing” begets nothing, and there are problems with “things forever” since there is no first place to define things that now have definite definition.

So, here we are, then and now, the rains falling everywhere, the streams being carved out, the water rising up to the sky, the rain falling everywhere, the streams recarving and meandering toward more meaning and on an on until, in the future, one universal mind arises and looks back to the past see that all was as it should be such that it could be so.
