Re: Pub songs: Now Playing: (_________)

I play a music synthesizer but I enjoying seeing how a good guitar player is able to not simply play notes but can physically adjust quite a range of properties in just playing a single note. There are generally a couple aspects (volume and decay time to an extent) that you can alter on a synethsizer, but there are probably at least have a dozen ways in which a note can be altered when playing a guitar and, if someone's really good they could almost do that to every single note played - with a typical musical keyboard, there's no way to realistically do that in real time, though a lot can be done after the fact on a synthesizer.

So this is pretty impressive ...

How about a little 'Smokie', with 'Have You Ever Seen The Rain?'

I love that song Great selection. (Here's another quarter for the jukebox, if you can pick another one like that )

This isn't quite what I was looking for, but I stumbled across it during the search:

    Ah, yes.

The Last Unicorn, and Lorena McKennitt.

I have both works under this roof.

One ever seeking one's own kind.

Surrounded by most kind and well-meaning ........... strangers.

    It has ever been so.

Still, most treat me kindly, and I respond by attempting to be what they need me to be.

It is a fair exchange, seemingly.

I'd been searching for something by Journey earlier when I stumbled upon that Mummer's Dance, but I think there are a couple Journey songs that seem to fall in line with the present theme

I think I've posted both these before:

Interesting that a medium which entertains one may be quite perplexing to another.

I found the subject matter educational, in a negative manner.

Too much of my early life was at the decree of negative reinforcement, and for that reason, I avoid controversy, most of the time.

My pleasure of music is, for now, disturbed, so no songs for the present time......

And you (Can you hear and)
Of tender years (Do you care and)
Can't know the fears (Can you see we)
That your elders grew by (Must be free to)
And so please help (Teach your children)
Them with your youth (You believe and)
They seek the truth (Make a world that)
Before they can die (We can live in)
